Stage name for the one man band of John Ondrasik. That's how he's billed but it does show two
other musicians on the credits. The name is a hockey reference for a five minute penalty for
fighting. I guess he's a fan. This is his third studio album. I have the second but they were
out of order. Mostly piano based tunes, although John plays guitar also. This is his best
selling album thus far, but only reached #20 on the Billboard chart. Four singles were released
of which 100 Years charted the highest at #28, and is my only standout track. The older you
get the sadder it is.

debut set from these Scottish lads...
lots of 1980s retro rock sounds happening here...
i have another of their albums, "tonight"(their third), i dont like that one much, but this fares a bit better...
this one got to #12 here, #3 UK, and #32 in the good old US of A....
i was unaware that there were six singles lifted off this album in the UK, only two of any note were "take me out" and "the dark of the matinee" which were top10 hits, "take me out" also went top10 or top20 in most other countries, and rightfully so as it is extremely catchy to say the least, it also happens to be my favourite one on here...

GYROSCOPE "cohesion" cd, 2010
Perth band Gyroscope's fourth album and only one i own...actually i didnt pay for this one, it was one of those 'promo instore' copies that Corey gave me back in the day...
not a bad collection of indi-rock but not really what i would normally purchase...some nice melodies,harmonies and music though...
i believe this one made the top5 here on the album charts, and they released six singles from it also but the singles didnt even scrape into the top30, which is strange with the success of the album...
not posting all the songs here, just my favourite track, which incidently i dont love, just like, all up, ten tracks, with only one i dont like, but whatever, it was free so i'll take that as it is!
so, the album rating is a healthy 1.9 for a band i had not heard of prior to this and am yet to hear of any new material since this one

Comes out about the same as the last FFF album I posted. This one was released before that
other and I meant to post it first, sorry. Superman is the only love track for me and three I
didn't like. Wiki shows another album set for release in September. Can't say I like this guy
enough to go after anymore, unless they are in the bargain bin of course. I'm a sucker for the
bargain bin. Showing four singles off of this with only Superman charting, at #14. Somehow that
song got associated with 9/11, and was an anthem at the time. I don't see the connection, but
whatever, timing is everything. Surprised at the album chart showing on this one at #54.Thought
that Superman song would have given it more of a push.
