Yeah there are a lot of sequels being made lately I've noticed. Dunno why, maybe the creative well is drying up in some parts of the movie industry or they are just trying to play it safe. -shrug-

I don't like the "remakes" neither, I refuse to watch them, why tinker with something that has already been done????
I believe Hollywood is remaking The Magnificent Seven as I type, sacrilege IMO!!!

I've been thinking over the last little while and some stories just cant be told in one movie, there are still unanswered questions that need to be answered sometimes, thus the need for sequels,
An example of which is Star Wars...
We needed to know what drove Anikin to "the dark side" and become Darth Vader IMO.
We also need to know if The Empire is defeated once and for all etc..
But yes, most sequels are pointless and simply a cash cow for Hollywood.

I'm okay with sequels if they do the original one justice. I've seen some good ones and they usually retain the spirit of the first one well. But right now, sequels just seem like a big thing in the movie industry and sometimes they bomb like with the Poltergeist remake. I understand why DC does Batman and Superman movies over and over again because they are so popular and make good money most of the time, but I've been hoping to see DC make a Wonder Woman movie and for Marvel to make a Black Panther one.

There is a Wonder Woman movie coming out I believe...
The old tv series was camp and corny but didn't Linda Carter fill that outfit out perfectly!
When I heard they were making a WW movie I was thinking Angelina Jolie would be my pick for the role because she has the body for the outfit and the athleticism to match it.
Only Batman movies I saw was the ones with Arnie and Jack Nicholson but I really wasn't impressed.
Loved the X Men movies though

mile: I'm guessing Gal Gadot will be playing her like in BvS? I like Tim Burton's Batman which is the one with Jack Nicholson as The Joker heh. I haven't been into the newer X-Men movies that much.

I liked Poltergeist 2 but the third one was terrible.
Denzel W. is in the remake of Magnificent 7. Does not seem like a role made for him.
I agree with Anjelina as WW. She is a beautiful woman and a very good actress!!

Eh, I don't think of Angelina Jolie as Wonder Woman myself. That doesn't mean she isn't a good actress though, when I think of someone filling the role of Wonder Woman, it's Lucy Lawless.
