well we survived the deep freeze and now are hovering around the 0 C mark. Was a cold week, the vehicles really did not function well at all.
I'd have to say I'd rather be in the cold (you can always wear warmer clothes) than what you are dealing with Crazy-Horse, that just sounds too much.

36C/97F forecast for today...forecast says its going to be the coolest day for the next 10 days with temps exceeding 40C/105F thereafter....
and yes EvilB...tis far easier to get yourself warm in cold weather than try to keep cool in hot weather as the longer it stays hot, the warmer the nights get...we'll probably have night temps in the high 20C's/70F's pretty shortly....
i spent my younger years in the UK, so i sort of remember the winters, i dont miss them but i would like to have one or two cold winters at some point, down south of WA we get the odd snow fall in winter(maybe a coupls of inches all up) and over east in the Blue Mountains they have ski resorts....so one day, i'll get there for a real winter!!!!

43C at 4PM!!! You must be frying! Hottest I have ever experienced is 52C (in the desert). The hottest ever recorded is 59C. Coldest -89C.

i experienced 50C+ in Texas at around lunchtime when waiting for a connecting flight out to LA on way home from Hotel Paint Lick in august...hard to breathe in that sort of heat
its still 41C/106F right now at 5:55pm here,made it up to 43C/109F today at around 2pm,was 38C/100F by 9:30am, last night only got down to 31C/88F....no change forecast for the next eight days, supposed to reach 45C/113F on saturday for the Roger Waters Wall gig...guessing he aint feeling the heat in his lovely hotel room!!!

We haven't had a winter here this year. I suppose it's still possible we'll get a few cold days but people around here haven't stopped going to the beach or anything.

Another snowstorm here followed by freezing rain then mild then another snowstorm then freezing rain...the story of our Open Winter along the Eastern Atlantic coast.
