What Are You Listening To? - JonG - 12-11-2009
Miss Fortune Wrote:Sayphonik Presents Love - Track 12
Discogs and Beatport have nothing on Sayphonik. Juno lists just one release, the Hope For Change EP. Which, from the sample tracks, sounds more trance than techno, just sayin'!
Listening to:
Mika Vainio - Ylimääräisen Antenni Lämpölitan Mittaus 4080 MHz:SSà from AÃneen Musta Puhelin [Touch, 2009]

2562 - Lost from Unbalance [Tectonic, 2009]
I love this guy's remixes and now he's released a full-length. One of the dubstep producers who's music borders on techno.

Oh man this album is killin' it! One of my favorites of the year.
King Midas Sound - Goodbye Girl from Waiting For You [Hyperdub, 2009]
Quote:...Regarded by many as the source of his finest material, in his King Midas Sound guise Kevin Martin concentrates on the haunted and somnambulistic qualities of dub music, like a tracing paper facsimilie of his Bug project dialled from 6 feet below the rave, still feeling the choking bass weight, but filtering the vocals, sirens and atmospheres to a frosted shade of his other self...Like the best of Martin's productions, this is just intensely heavy, but with a twist of densely smoked paranoia that makes it something of a modern classic for the late 00's...- boomkat

It's going on the Buy List...

The Sight Below - No Place For Us (Eluvium Remix) from Murmur EP [Ghostly International, 2009]
Speaking of Shoegaze (being discussed on another forum) I think fans of the style will enjoy this.
EDIT: Ha! The very next remix is by Simon Scott, formally of the shoegaze band Slowdive.
