Just been through the worst flu I have ever had. Sick as a dog for over three weeks. Everytime you think you are over it, it comes back with a vengance. I avoid antibiotics like the plague so just ploughed on through it. Nasty virus going around at the moment. A couple of people at work have had it as well. Over it now at last. 'Feed a cold and starve a fever' is my motto. OK, that works SOME of the time but not always. Hope you get well soon Crazy.
An ad hoc remedy that works for me. A big pot of onion soup with loads of garlic and a handful (and I mean a handful) of Cayenne pepper. Does not taste that great but not that bad either. Also loads of turmeric and ginger during the day. And instead of tea or coffee I have Miso soup - a Japanese soup with seaweed and tofu in it. All of this leads to a rather delicate stomach but the pros outweigh the cons. No science or logic behind this - just something I dreamt up one day and it seems to work ??!!??
And if that does not help a bottle of red wine cures almost anything... I promise!

we actually had a couple of showers overnight but that had all gone by the time i woke up
it did however remain cloudy for most of the day

no cloud cover though, just sunshine.
i spent all day rugged up in bed with this bloody virus that just wont go away after 8 days.
(i hope mine doesnt last for three weeks like your Jerome)

cloudy with a few very light spots of rain throughout the early afternoon.
rain expected to form overnight and into tomorrow and Saturday (with a little luck)
BTW,
this bloody flu is still holding on after 10 days (i dont want another week of it like Jerome's flu!)

28C/82F the last two days with part cloudy conditions
this bloody flu is still hanging om after two weeks sadly, so Jerome's "3 week flu" isnt too far out of reach...
still getting chills at nighttime and headaches during the day.
seems to be getting better each day.
