never thought these guys would ever make a better song than Drops Of Jupiter...
but theyve done it several times on this album...
some good indi rock on here IMO. would love to get the opportunity to see these guys live as they seem to put everything they have into live performances ive seen on tv,
great melodic tunes on here...a real credit to 'modern music'...and that singer sure can sing.
was a bit surprised this one didnt come out higher in the overall score, but what the hell, its a great album!, the only thing that lets it down is a stupid song with Xmas in the title and some stupid sleigh bells ringing in the song, yet its not even a yuletide tune IMO....i guess stupid is as stupid does!
and WTF's with all these albums nowadays that have different versions of album tracks tacked on at the ned of an album???...i dont get it and i dont like it!, theres two on this one.

I like this album. Very good vocals and melodic songs from this duo from California. Overall the songs are low key... good for late night listening. This album was a major success in Canada and the U.S. garnering gold status.

This band from Newcastle, England has an ability to churn out good songs with original melodies. An enjoyable performance of rock and post punk music.

THE BLACK KEYS "brothers" cd,2010.
our resident Black Keys fan TraceNspace probably isnt going to agree with me on this one but here goes...
only have two of their album, obviously this one and their latest one "el camino"...i love the latter one, butnot this one!
just all sounds so distorted for my liking...distorted guitars and vocals specifically...and way less melodic than "el camino"
all way too much of a muchness for my liking...had i got this one prior to the other one then i would not have got the other one, but this was recommended to me by Corey...each tot heir own i guess, but not for me, even some of the "like**" tracks only just scrape through so a borderline like/dislike score would be justified this time round!

PRIMUS "brown album" cd,1997.
when i first got to know Corey and we started discussing music and i mentioned i really like Sonic Youth, he replied that a lot of thewir fans seem to like Primus and he picked out a couple of their albums to purchase....luckily, i got them real cheap..but theyre still crap!, disliking both albums he got for me!
this one fares no better than the other one i posted many moons ago here
this is their 6th album, its an eclectic fusion of funk/jazz,prog(in places)/pop and rock...so was early Split Enz material,but i like that...just find these guys to be too immature in their lyrics for my liking(limp bizkit are immature also, but i like their sounds...so go figure!)...these guys just seem to me to be like "lets do a prog/jazz track or a heavy funk/rock thing" with no real thought to the final product...im not criticising them as musicians,just their intent or what i percieve, lack of it IMO!
