Led Zep - The Song Remains the Same - really loud. No Quarter is just incredible. Mr Bonham was a wizard.

what's your favorite Zep album?

What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 27-10-2011

That one - always thought they were better live than recorded. But if I had to pick a studio album it would be 'Houses of the Holy'

My daily ritual of something Beatles or something Beatlely - Revolver from 1966...still sounds incredible !!!!!

On the laptop.

Released in 1978.

Some of the material here is familiar from an assortment of live albums, and whilst there'll always be something of interest when Reed's at work, this one left me strangely unmoved. He's written much better songs than these IMHO.

Not for the Buy List.

AllMusic 4/5 stars.

Moving Pictures-Rush

A talented band with some amazing tunes, but I'd rather invest my time in the Mars Volta or Van Der Graaf Generator personally

Compilation of material from 67-69. Those Barrett years. Those lean years. Never could get into Syd. Too warped for
me. Tried him stoned, tried him straight, tried him with my Aussie mate. It just isn't happening. The best thing
Barrett ever did for Pink Floyd was WYWH. Barely passing album here with nothing great for me. You can have the
instrumentals. Best thing for me is the Waters penned The Nile Song, the closest thing to rock on here. Other tracks from The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, A Saucerful Of Secrets, and the More soundtrack. Others were b-sides to U.K. singles I guess. The band was barely a blip in the states at the time of this release. A #153 on the charts was all it did here, with a #32 in the homeland. After the #1 success of Atom Heart Mother in England, this album was a good marketing opportunity. Noted for the inclusion of the Barrett tracks, See Emily Play and Arnold Layne which were singles, never to see the light of day here.

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

Worst Track - Interstellar Overdrive

Best Track - The Nile Song

I was standing by the Nile
When I saw the lady smile.
I would take her out for a while,
For a while.

Oh, my tears wept like a child.
How her golden hair was blowing wild.
Then she spread her wings to fly,
For to fly.

Soaring high above the breezes,
Going always where she pleases.
She will make it to the islands in the sun.

I will follow in her shadow
As I watch her from my window.
One day I will catch her eye.

She is calling from the deep,
Summoning my soul to endless sleep.
She is bound to drag me down,
Drag me down.
