"great australian albums" series on one of our channels...this one was Nick Cave/Bad Seeds "murder ballads" album, interviews with Nick and the band about the influences that drove him to make such an album...was interesting but im sure anyone with studio/recording experience like Jerome would appreciate it moreso than i when it came to the technical side of things, but it was good to see how these songs came together from simple ideas through to the fu=inished product...
not exactly my favourite Cave album,but does represent everything that he and the Bad Seeds are about!

a doco about George Harrison called "living in the material world"
very good stuff indeed, sort of get a better understanding of who and what George was all about,well, think we had a fair idea but this one has a lot of home video footage, plus interviews with not only George, but also Olivia(his wife),Dhani(his son), friends including Clapton and Eric Idle, plus little snippets from Ringo and Paul...
his wife(widow) Olivia describes in detail the horrific home invasion in 1999 that left him stabbed with a collapsed lung in his struggle to protect his family that night by a crazed intruder.
plenty on his spirituality and his eternal search for 'perfect nirvana' and his love of nature and his gardens at Friar Park...

Justin Timberlake's "mirrors" gets the gong for #1 single this week, dont know what it is about JT, but i like what he does musically
Emeli Sande's album is still #1 over there...
interesting to note Johnny Marr's album debut's at #10 this week, would have thought he'd have gone in higher on debut,i guess theres still room to move up though

was a surprise to note he has a new album out...
tracks were a bit nore guitar driven than his previous material...good performance by the artist often known as someone else, but not keen on the songs themselves
