UK Folk-Rock band's third album, from 1969.

The songs, sung by Sandy Denny, are the stars here. The music's fine too, but Sandy's voice is to die for...

So much talent in one band.

They managed to desecrate a Dylan song (If You Gotta go, go Now) by singing it in French, and even that works !!

A natural fit for the Buy List.

RoviMusic 5/5 stars.

so we both managed to hear "if you gotta go,go now" yesterday!...just different atists

noticed that too
thought that was strange
when you brought the song up, I thought it was the Moody Blues song till I listened to it

WILLIE NELSON "willie sings kristofferson" cd, 1979.

one thing that always puzzles me about Willie....he has always looked like he is 75 years old...even when he was young?...why is that!?
anyway, this is Willie's tribute to his friend and fellow "highwayman"...
i prefer the less-known Kristofferson tracks here, the best being the brilliant lyrical track "the pilgrim, chapter 33", followed closely by "please dont tell me how the story ends".
most of the songs are reasonable, but there are better versions of KK's tracks out there...guess Willie's vocals get a lot of them past the mark for me.

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

UB40 "the very best of 1980-2000" cd,2000.

loved these guys from the day i bought their debut set "signing off" through to just after their first "labour of love" album, from then on, it just seemed all downhill for these guys from my point of view...i still liked the music for all tracks, just the lryics didnt like and/or the choice of covers on their three followup cover sets.
still love the pure reggae of their debut album's tracks after 31yrs, even their covers of "i got you babe","red red wine" and "many rivers to cross" are superb after all this time. and their cover of "cant help fallin in love" is still their worst effort on disc.
these guys toured here early in 2011, so they are obviously still on the road...and good luck to them for surviving all these years, not many reggae/pop artists can claim that!

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

worst track: cant help falling in love
