What amazes me about the whole fiasco is that you now have conspiracy theorists all over Europe claiming that the whole thing is a manufactured lie. People are dying and yet some clowns still pretend this does not exist at all. Crazy. Can they not see that when people gather in large numbers the infection rate goes up? How much more proof do you need to realise this thing is very, very real. Humans are stupid. And you are right CH - the worldwide number of infections is much, much higher than people realise. I posted a while ago that I thought it was easily over 50 million. I am revising my estimate. I think in reality it's probably closer to 100 million. And the number of deaths is heading for 1 million. You can triple that number and you still would not be correct. It's more. China's official reported number of deaths is only 25% or less than the actual figure. The number of urns being ordered for cremation by undertakers in China far exceeded the official reported death toll. So someone is going to order thousands more urns than they require? No way. Money talks - even if the authorities don't.

So there used to be 1 gravedigger and now there are thirteen or so of them. From 10 graves a week to 400 graves a week. And that's just in one graveyard of the city! A city with a population of 2.6 million and a compromised healthcare system. That says it all. Extrapolate that to all the other cities in Africa and you have a very big number indeed.
Then there's South America, India, China, the Middle East etc.
A major shitstorm on the horizon unless they can come up with a vaccine. A pharma company in the west of Ireland where I live has just announced they are employing 400 more staff to work on a vaccine. They would not throw huge money at this unless they were going to make a profit. And seeing as they have come in well after the 40 or 50 other pharma companies have already been working on a cure for months means they know there is going to be a huge market. Or that those other companies will not be able to keep up with demand.
But the really scary part is that the virus is mutating faster than we can find a cure. BIG problem.

And India is headed for absolute chaos - a few weeks ago they were around the 2 million mark - up to 4.6 million now. In a very short space of time too.

And there is no way in hell that China only has 90 000 cases. Impossible.
