Let's see what we get today... just wondering if youre like me and over spend when you go cd shopping?,its like a drug to me, i love the feeling of opening a new cd, reading the booklet info and lyric sheet the first time, each time feels like ive found something wonderful and unique What Did You Buy? - Jerome - 17-10-2010 Right Got Joe Walsh - The Millenium Edition (should have come up with a better title than that) Ultravox - Return to Eden The Orb - Metallic Spheres Arcade Fire - Neon Bible Also bought a book - Pink Floyd - The Illustrated Biography. Only 5 bucks! Will provide summary once I have listened to all of them. What Did You Buy? - Jerome - 17-10-2010 Joe Walsh - great - was really looking for his live album 'You Can't Argue with a Sick Mind' The Orb - a bit wishy washy - some good ideas but they don't seem to be going anywhere - get the impression they were jut fooling around but did not have any real plan. The addition of CSN&Y lyrics was a complete balls up. BAAAAD move. Having a run through the Ultravox disc. So - so. Just realised while listening to it that there wasn't really much to their music. Very basic 4/4 stuff. Expected them to elevate the material a bit more but it kind of falls flat. What Did You Buy? - Music Head - 17-10-2010 Jerome Wrote:Joe Walsh - great - was really looking for his live album 'You Can't Argue with a Sick Mind' Agree about the Ultravox What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 17-10-2010 ive got Ultravox 'the collection' and found the same problem with their music, whilst i like their singles, its all too much of a muchness when heard as a collection. 'vienna' and 'dancing with tears in my eyes' stand out from their other tracks like a sore thumb. even Midge Ure's 'if i was' album was the same, very dissapointing indeed! What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 18-10-2010 Pink Floyd "the wall" on cd. i already have 'dark side' and 'division bell' on cd, 'the wall','dark side','final cut','wish you were here' on vinyl. cant wait to put on the headphones, turn off the lights and dissapear into 'the wall', fantasic concept album, and movie. What Did You Buy? - goth metal raver - 19-10-2010 I got some Chopin and some Beethoven recently. Beethoven's 5th and 7th symphonies - Otto Klemperer/Philharmonia Orchestra Chopin - the very best of (Idil Biret) |
