Music Head Wrote:read his autobio a while back
made me dislike him even more than I already did

i havent read his auto-bio...but ive heard similar comments from the couple of people i know who have..so i guess it means 'hasta la vista arnie', i still like his movies though, except those stupid "expendable" ones

Country Music Television .....The Innovators of Music ...Neil Young and the International Harvesters ...focusing on the members of IH and a great interview with Neil...also talking about the album The Treasure!...interesting comment from Neil..." I grew up listening to country radio, then The Beatles, then I left home to form a band."

Levon Helm with his band Midnight Rambler in Woodstock, NY. Levon discussing his fight against cancer of the vocal chords and remarking that he has regained about 50% of his voice...sings quite well actually ...also playing the skins as usual and the mandolin. Set of American bluegrass and country folk ..very good!..again RIP Levon.

Country husband and wife duo of Thompson Square. Nice vocals but really nothing new.

Steve Earle doing solo songs from Townes van Zandt,,,not very interesting for me. Did a smash up version of Copperhead Road on mandolin which was good.

good stuff SteveO...

i got the deluxe cd/bluray version of the International Harvesters album the other year, Neil usually records all his tours but there was no video footage of that mid 1980s tour so he downloaded fan videos from youtube and with the help of technology he synced up the videos with the proffessionally recorded audio creating a video of the performances, it was good IMO as you get to see the show from the point of view of 'the fans' and not stategically placed pro video, had a cubtle charm to it all...typical Neil Young IMO as he never does things 'proffessionally' at all and never has(his autobio is the same as it flits from subject to subject before the initial story is finished), his recording of songs is very much the same....very spontaneous which is probably why i love his music so much(warts and all music)
