The debut album, and surprised to realize the only one I have. Certainly not because I didn't like them. A very
nice album here. Just one of those groups that slipped through. Excellent vocals from Mick Hucknall and a tight
soulful band. A #1 single in Holding Back The Years and a #16 album. Not a bad showing for a debut. Very nice cover
of Talking Heads Heaven which is equal to theirs for me. Also love tracks in Moneys Too Tight To Mention and
Jericho. Only one track I don't like with No Direction. The band went on a 10 album run each one reaching the top
10 in the U.K. but this one was the highest charting here. A best of set may be in order.

Everytime I try telling people about this, they immediately dismissit as being some kind of joke. Perhaps I'min the minority here, but I see nothing funny about a totally solid garage punk band using accordions and violins to add a bit of extra flavor to their killer tunes

second album by these Kentucky natives...probably the second worst thing to come from Ky, the worst is a person i met whilst over there...LOL!
got this one as one of the freebies in a competition i won in January for correctly predicting the Aust top5 singles for the following week...glad this one was free otherwise i'd have thought i'd have dupped if i bought it!
sort of a cross between grunge and the likes of Arctic Monkeys/Kasabian and Pixies IMO...a total miss-match of sounds that sound messy and noisy, not my thing at all.
the allmighty allmusic pros love this one, giving it a converted 2.4....me, nowhere near this mark!
