RE: The new project - Jerome - 26-12-2019 Breaking Bad comes to mind... RE: The new project - Dissily Mordentroge - 26-12-2019 (26-12-2019, 13:13)Jerome Wrote: . . . . . . . I am sure some therapist will have a plausible, logical explanation for all of this . . . . . . . . . And possibly in the process kill your creativity and deny you the best ‘therapy’ there is. RE: The new project - Jerome - 27-12-2019 Oh without a doubt. Half the time the head doctors are the ones that need to be fixed. A mate of mine, Gavin MacPherson, ran his own PC business from home. One of his clients, a psychologist/psychiatrist type nut job became totally hooked on the net and the WWW. Anyway late one night his PC packed up. Gavin found him knocking on his bedroom window at 3 in the morning pleading with him to fix his machine because he could not cope with being cut off from the web. Bonkers! There’s another dimension to this. There’s a new ‘school’ of psychiatry that claims it can treat patients over the web. Started in the US and has spread like a virus. Maybe your friend’s shrink was not only addicted to the web but afraid he’d lose customers if not available 24/7? RE: The new project - Jerome - 31-12-2019 Have to say I do not believe in this model of 'everything can be solved over the net' thing. A doctor needs to see the patient's body language and is some cases lay his or her hand on the patient to reassure them. I am 'old school'. Not part of the 'phoney' generation who believe an iPhone is a necessary piece of kit to have. I do have a smartphone but if I use it twice a week, that's a lot. Just could not be bothered with them at all. I have not even set up my mailbox. God knows how many messages there might be in it! Maybe that's why I never did hear from the Russian mail order bride....dratty pooh! RE: The new project - Jerome - 31-12-2019 A couple more minutes down the new electronic road. Tail end of this is a bit of a mess but I will tidy it up over the next few days but at least you can see where it's headed. If you can - good - because I sure as hell can't. Happy New Year. Off to watch a movie and consume copious amounts of Brunello. Same as always http://www.auralscapes.com Nighty night... You need to be aware however that connection to the web is often taking place today without our knowledge. If, for instance, you purchased an ‘intelligent TV’ it may be listening to your conversations without you knowing. The list could go on but I’m sure you get the point. On the other hand software, such as Googles, is storing all your activity on the web and selling that data to other IT companies. In China they’re selling to the government. In today’s world paranoia is the only sane attitude to have. As to Russian mail order brides you need to know they’re prone to violent attacks upon their benefactors and/ or suing for divorce once they’re citizenship is settled. On the other hand if you’re in love with borscht maybe it’s worth the hassle? ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I’m unable to access your site http://www.auralscapes.com. It appears to commence loading a file with the background graphics never fully loading. I’m running the latest Mac operating system, macOS 10.15, macOS ‘Catalina’.(where do the get these stupid names?) RE: The new project - Jerome - 31-12-2019 Won't be the first time a woman has bust my balls - metaphorically speaking of course. They are still in working order last time I checked which is a long, long time ago. Never mind what they are capable of physically - it's what they can do to your soul that counts. I am well aware of the data mining that is going on. One of the reasons I don't subscribe to the 'permanently connected' world. And to be honest, I don't really care about what they might or might not know about me. There's not that much to know anyway. If they think they are going to sell me something they are wrong. I have a brain. Sometimes I actually use it. Don't know why you can't access the site??? Try pressing F5 - 'refresh' type thing. Anyway, off to watch 'Frankie and Johnny' my favourite feelgood movie. Adios amigos. RE: The new project - CRAZY-HORSE - 01-01-2020 of all the versions of Frankie And Johnny please don't tell me youre watching the abysmal Presley version??? RE: The new project - Jerome - 01-01-2020 Al Pacino & Michelle Pfeiffer one. |
