Curt Smith was born on this day in 1961, in Bath, Somerset, England. A co-founder of Tears for Fears, along with childhhood friend Roland Orzabal. Self taught bassist and vocalist, he split from the band in 1991 and had a couple of less than successful solo releases as well as being involved in other ventures. He and Orzabal have since patched up their differences and Mr Smith is back on the band's two most recent releases.
