I think some of the "men" nowadays have lost their minds.
We see alot of it on TV. They call themselves women.
They have no idea what it is like to be a woman.
It is disgusting!

No, I do not want to use a restroom with them.
Why must they be allowed to push their warped ideas on the rest of us.

ive currently had to take on security work because the building industry is in recession,
I work at a shopping centre.
I get rid of, and ban the locals for stealing, sometimes arresting them for the police (depending on what they steal)...
when I take them on I am the following:
1: racist for not allowing them to get away with it and picking on them because theyre black
2: a pedo if their underage
3: often called every name under the sun when I catch them
4: when I tell them they are on private property and banned from entering I am told
'this is my land, youre trespassing' etc etc...

they steal but im supposed to feel guilty for catching them,
yes, I also catch Caucasians but 90% are Aboriginals...

minority groups need to suck it up and get on being part of our society without expecting special treatment at the expense
of everyone else IMO.

10/10 CH. What everyone forgets is that without law enforcement of some kind the whole world will just collapse into a state of total anarchy. Everyone is very quick to blame those that enforce the law, but when they are not there the first complaint is - where were the cops? And I am willing to bet that those who do the stealing will squeal the loudest when it's THEIR property that is stolen. When people do not contribute to society in general in some form (not necessarily money), or who do not want to conform to the laws of that society then they should forego the rights and privileges of that society. Too many lazy people in the world who just want it all but do not want to put in any real effort. Political correctness will eat itself.

Society has rather unrealistic gender standards, at times. If I still tried to adhere to society's warped standards of beauty and such as a woman that I didn't even ask for then I would still hate myself for not being good enough for it. Now I focus on my own sense of beauty and self-esteem. For me. I don't care that I don't look like a model, I can choose to dress how I want to, I don't have to be super thin to be pretty, I don't have to wear makeup everyday, my capabilities and intelligence is also important, etc.

Maybe I actually can get why someone has a disconnect with their own gender. Society has already told them they don't fit in, but expects them to fit into a box anyway. You get bullied in school for being a little different and adults aren't even that much better later on. I have struggled with bulimia nervosa and know other women who have, I know a girl who almost died from it and her friend who did lose her life. A lot of people have had an eating disorder at some point in their lives, around 20 million women and 10 million men in the US. https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/get-facts-eating-disorders

I think society shouldn't expect everyone to fit perfectly into gender boxes. People are individuals. Stop telling young girls and young boys something is always wrong with them. Not pretty enough, not feminine enough, not a bodybuilder, too emotional, not emotional enough, not masculine enough, etc. Like the messages in media often say and are frequently internalized by people. There are masculine women and feminine men too and they shouldn't be shamed for being so either.

What happened to the good ole days....
There is a lot more problems in the world without having to deal with this.
Did they have to pass a law for women and men to use separate restrooms.
Thinking or feeling that they are women does not make it so.
I admit there is a problem there but JMO operation to become women is not the answer.

So sorry about your eating disorder Oceansoul. I have struggled with eating habits or disorders most of my life too and still do just to look like we are told to look.
Drs. are just as guilty of making us feel not worthy. One of my Drs. says get down to a certain weight and he is much heavier than me.
We don't hear as much about men needing to lose weight than women.
Men are still looking good while women are treated like dirt because they don't fit into the weight that is desirable.

Thanks. I don't struggle with bulimia anymore nor feel the urge to binge and purge anymore. My family found out about it and stepped up to get me help and while I do have my moments where I tend to pick at what I see as my flaws, I've gotten much better about not doing that nor comparing myself to others as much. I'm me and that's okay, I don't have to be someone else. My issue is a personal one more than anything though.

I think it's very true that men and women are held to different standards of attractiveness and it's not fair. And there are also young girls who are bullied for how they look and women who struggle with themselves. I tend to dress feminine too, I just express myself in my own way and I feel it is important to be happy with oneself whether you choose to look conventional or not.

Still I think there are some problems with gender norms here.

It was more common for people to keep things in the closet in the past than now where so many issues are now open for discourse, also they would've faced more discrimination then, I think.

There are a lot of problems going in the world to deal with, sure and those problems are also significant. Transgender issues are more than just whether one can use a gendered public restroom or not though. Around 60% of transgender youth experience bullying, one in two transgender individuals are sexually abused or assaulted as per the Office For Victims of Crimes, some struggle with suicide and self harming, and still face discrimination in different parts of their lives. It would be awkward for some if a person who looks like a man walked into a women's public restroom though.

If someone doesn't fit into the gender norms society expects of say a boy or girl and whose parents and peers makes them feel like something is wrong with that then it could cause problems later with gender identity. At any rate, transgender people who get an operation do so to look like the gender they feel is closer to how they see themselves and experience stress that their body looks different.

It's indeed complicated.

OCD is a pain that won't quit. I know I have mentioned it before.
Wish they would come up with a cure. Antidepressants don't help.

You are blessed Oceansoul you have a family that supports you. I have none.

I'm definitely thankful for having such a caring and supportive family. They are pretty much the reason I'm still around. A lot of people don't have that, unfortunately. Sad

OCD sounds like a pain in the butt from what I've heard.

Super-thin is never pretty no matter what the trade magazines say. Personally I don't like women that look half-starved.
