RE: Born on this day ... - CRAZY-HORSE - 25-05-2023 PAUL WELLER (65) RE: Born on this day ... - CRAZY-HORSE - 26-05-2023 HANK WILLIAMS Jr. (74) RE: Born on this day ... - Music Head - 26-05-2023 ^^ had not heard that thanks the Purcell clan went to his concert last week RE: Born on this day ... - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-05-2023 im sure they enjoyed it. RE: Born on this day ... - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-05-2023 NEIL FINN (65) RE: Born on this day ... - Music Head - 27-05-2023 Bruce Cockburn (78) RE: Born on this day ... - Ruby - 27-05-2023 Peter Knight was born on this day in 1947, in London, England. A highly esteemed fiddler, he was with Steeleye Span from 1971 to 1977 and then from 1980 to 2013. He also sings and plays keys. Classically trained from a young age, he’s been following a few different muses since 2013 including (but not limited to) a project called Peter Knight’s Gigspanner. Interesting sounds encompassing a blend of genres – folk, jazz and driving rhythms. I’ve been listening to their debut album, Lipreading the Poet which has so far been instrumental – the first track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lct8lA6Rks This is not from the abovementioned album - a YT stumbling upon. Quite dirge-like IMHO, and having sought out the lyrics, I can see why. Something of a departure from how it might have sounded to begin with, I would imagine - traditional folk ditties are not always what they at first seem to be! … And then there’s this one, from Sails of Silver – Knight on vocals and his arrangement, unless I am mistaken … RE: Born on this day ... - CRAZY-HORSE - 28-05-2023 ROLAND GIFT (61) RE: Born on this day ... - Music Head - 28-05-2023 John Fogerty (78) RE: Born on this day ... - CRAZY-HORSE - 29-05-2023 NOEL GALLAGHER (56) |
