so the Northern Hemisphere is experiencing record heat but meanwhile....
here in Western Australia (Perth outskirts) we are experiencing an average winter...
last two days have been wet and blustery with thunderstorms due later this afternoon brining up to 45mm/2" rain.
16C/60F during the day and around 6C/42F overnight

expecting 3/4 of our August rainfall over the first three days of the month...

the big storm front has now moved out East away from us...
that means today was just overcast, no rain whatsoever...
today's temp reached 14C/57F
overnight it was a chilly (by our standards) 3C/37F
but the rain returns tomorrow afternoon...

rain cleared up enough to have a part sunny weekend but it returned again overnight...
showers and rain during today with thunderstorms predicted for tonight...

After a couple of warm days - The Delicate Sound of Thunder - not something you see or hear too often in Ireland. Makes a nice change from the normal boring crap weather.

i have a friend who lives up near "giants causeway", theyve been sweltering up there (by Irish standards!), they have 'wildfires' up there now.
