Currently Watching? - CRAZY-HORSE - 23-09-2012 documentary: "hitler's invasion of america" newly declassified US State Dept documents reveal that the Nazi's sunk 29 US battleships off Nth.Carolina in six weeks in the summer of 1941 and planted seamines from the northern tip of Florida all the way up to Maine.. also describes how US Coastguards discovered six Nazi operatives on US soil with plans to destroy infrastructure, they were duly executed after their arrest. also, apparently, US Govt at the time sent memo's to all newspapers/tv, warning that if they printed the stories that their editors would be jailed for life if they printed and/or released any info to the general public very interesting show, always good to watch/read things like this from a historical perspective. Currently Watching? - SteveO - 23-09-2012 Looks like a very interesting documentary, Crazy ! There were several attempts during WWII of German subs trying to enter Halifax Harbour. The harbour was possibly the most vital for Allies ships as it is the second deepest natural harbour in the world. I've been told first hand that the harbour was so packed with ships that you couldn't see any water and you could virtually walk from ship to ship !They had iron netting at the mouth of the harbour and I'm not sure if they ever captured any ? Also they went up the St. Lawrence River so while all was ablaze in Europe the Nazis were trying to "invade" Canada and the US !
