The okie brothers come out with their eighth studio album. This is the first time for me to listen to a full album, and while I did like a few songs (I listen without prejudice), still more were on the downside. My fav of These Walls will never see the airwaves. The lead single of Thinkin' 'Bout Somethin' didn't do nothin' for me, and the video doesn't help. One thing stood out for me on this album. Although not evident on most of these scaled down live clips, these guys have Hollies sounding harmonies. I don't know these guys well enough to know who is who, but the dude on keyboards is the talent of this group

These walls is one of my favourites on the album too, but i do like thinking bout something, and yes, Taylor is the most talented in the band. the Video is meant to be fun and a bit of a p*** take of themselves Smile

Whew! I made it through. It was painful but I did it. Her fourth album. I though she had more than that. This is the first one in four years, and the first to gain the coveted Parental Advisory sticker. Screw you Micky Mouse. Assuming this will shoot to the top of the charts. Not my thing. I did find 3 songs that I liked, but stacked up against 15 others, that doesn't cut it for me. The 3 are ballad type numbers, and if she stuck with those, she'd gain a new fan. Of course she'd lose millions of them. Seriously, compare clips 2 and 15, and which one is the better song. First single is Not Myself Tonight, which the video is soft porn to me. Gotta sell it some way I guess. Follow up single will ne Woohoo.

i've been listening to this band called LOVE AND LOGIC, they're based from NYC and they are awesome!! they're sort of rock, pop but they have a cello, it's really unique-- their band members are from all over the world!! (i've been doing my homework), check them out they have stuff on itunes and videos on youtube. they've been on repeat all week! enjoy!

Hope this is in the right place. Sure sounds pop/dance to me. NYC band formed in 2000 with their third album. Another one of those that has made it big in Europe but not here in the states. Their debut album was the best selling album of 2004 in the U.K. This is the second attempt at a third album. The first one was scrapped after near completion when they weren't satisfied with it, and decided to start over. Nothing on here I liked. Takes me back to the disco daze. Fire With Fire is the debut single.

Colorado duo of Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte teamed up while attending college in 2004 and have made it to their third album. The last one made some waves on the dance charts both here and in the U.K. A lot of their music would be considered electronic and this could have gone there I suppose.They teamed up with Katy Perry for the hit Starstrukk on that last album and are hoping for another hit on this one with Kesha joining them for My First Kiss. Nothing here for me, but I'm sure it will be a smash.

Aussie superstar with her 11th album. Typical dance/pop fare that does nothing for me. Lead single of All The Lovers and the accompanying video say it all. If you like that, I guess you'll like the album. No doubt it will be a smash. Get Outta My Way is the follow up single. I think that first single was my favorite till I saw the video.

Some reasonably sophisticated Synth-Pop from the mid-'80s.

Good tunes, and it hasn't dated too badly.

A bit of over-wrought production doesn't hurt once in a while...

... and talking of over-wrought production, they don't come much more plush than this.

Once again, this is probably a triumph of style over substance, since the FGTH musicians didn't really make an appearance on this release (reputedly recorded by Ian Dury's then-current band !!).

The real star of this show is Trevor Horn, the producer. Painstakingly put together to sound "awesome", this was one of the first hi-fi "demo" recordings I encountered. Makes Phil Spector sound minimalist...

Good album, but showing it's age a little.

One of those cheap off the wall labels version of a best of, that I picked up somewhere along the way. Either a discount bin or a yard sale. Would be considered an EP nowadays with only 8 short songs, but no such thing back then. With 4 standout selections, can't complain. One of the few times where I like a remake better than the original, with Hank Williams I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry. Sorry Hank.
