What Are You Reading ? - trbc08 - 08-01-2010
Damn, now I feel like a pedant and a fool.

I recently re-read the Eragon books. Surprisingly good.
The end of the last one frustrated me, for reasons I can't reveal without spoiling...

I read a really charming story a few years ago which centred on crocodiles actually being dragons but the dragon species had developed a heart defect - in the story this gets mended and they turn back into dragons.
I am reading the The Rough Guide to Evolution by Mark Pallen (no mention of the crocodile/dragon issue yet though)

Sounds pretty cool, I'll check it out. Thanks =]
Went through my library, started re-reading The Lies of Locke Lamora. VERY good book, I recommend it strongly.

i'm reading how not to murder your mother by samantha calman.
it looks into the mother daughter relationship and how your mum drives you insane, but you increasingly find you are more and more like her.....
sounds about right to me lol.

How rough is it?

I don't have a profilometer that works on ideas so I can't be precise but I would say of minimal roughness really.

Little twerp. Everything I despise about big government is laid out here. Bill Clintons first term labor secretary chronicles his 4 years in the position. I like how it is laid out in diary format. Not every day, but skipping over periods. Shouldn't be a political position but couldn't be a more partisan person in it. Went to D.C. with the idea of sweeping out all the bad and reforming government to benefit the poor. After 4 years he figured out he wasn't accomplishing much. But of course in politics you can always blame the other side. Go back to teaching so you can indoctrinate those mushy skulls, but of course show up regularly on the talking heads shows to spout your class warfare. Very well written book.
Grade - A
Next up - The Shack by William Paul Young

I'm currently reading my way through season three of Lost. Thanks to Hulu I just might catch up in time for season six.
Trying it the "Iota" way. Read television. Watch books.
