It is. But it seems to keep getting lost in history, and in mainstream discussions of Pink Floyd.

The Floyd never really played much of the music from Animals live, so maybe it's never seeped into the fans' fave lists due to this...

Animals is definatley the best. People who only praise The Wall and DSOTM aren't true fans. Dark Side is a good album though.

I don't just like Wall and DSOTM. I like most of Pink Floyd's stuff. I like the old Psychedelic stuff (Piper at the Gates of Dawn and Saucerful of Secrets). I love Echoes and One of These Days off Meddle. I also love Shine on you crazy diamond and Sheep. And I like High Hopes off of Division Bell.
Do I qualify as a 'real' fan?:wink:

Probably because the intro - 3 (relatively) long track - outro form of the album makes it harder for some people to "digest". It is one of the better Floyd albums, though, maybe their second or third best effort overall.
