There were five United States presidents who held office during the Vietnam War. These five presidents were Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

I agree about the Vietnam War. Not a good idea!
.

I wasn't too up with the US side of Vietnam so I googled it,
found a good timeline page from 1961-64 you might find interesting: http://www.historyplace.com/unitedstates/vietnam/index-1961.html

it appears Eisenhower wasn't a Nam War President, heres the except from the article:

January 20th, 1961- John Fitzgerald Kennedy is inaugurated as the 35th U.S. President and declares "...we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to insure the survival and the success of liberty." Privately, outgoing President Eisenhower tells him "I think you're going to have to send troops..." to Southeast Asia.

so heres a question for you:

if it is a regular thing that President's do/have done, why all the fuss in the media/election campaigns over Bill Clinton????

I wouldn't say that it's a regular thing, we've had presidents who were loyal to their spouses. It's just that there are presidents who have had affairs and it's not necessarily a new thing. Which doesn't make it right or anything, IMO.

I don't know. The media loves scandals, including affairs. Bill Clinton's affair became an issue during his administration and is frequently brought up. He lied about it to the public too. I would say the treatment that Monica Lewinsky received wasn't fair to her either and that's another issue about it.

I agree with Oceansoul. The media kept the Bill Clinton thing going and the Clintons have always been
a favorite with the media on many subjects as was Hillary and her investigations.
I would not expect even now that the Clinton coverage will stop.

Yeah, the media tends to go crazy over some people and conveniently ignores other people. But scandals they love. It's not just presidents, there are governors, representatives, etc who get wrapped up in scandals and affairs and sometimes resign from office over them.

Yes they were! My fave part in JFK was the Court scene at the end. Kevin did a great job!
