As far as Hollywood goes, they don't have a clue what we are going through. They live in a world all their own.

Politics - Oceansoul - 22-01-2017

Trump just took his first vacation as President this weekend.

Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 22-01-2017

with the riots/protests...
I find the "left" so bloody hypocritical...
theyre the ones who are advocates for 'peace and love', 'harmony' and 'no war' etc etc
but when it comes to protesting, theyre nearly always the ones who hold violent demonstrations, then go blame the police when they get injured and arrested, go figure?!

Politics - Oceansoul - 22-01-2017

I don't condone violence as a leftist. There are peaceful protesters, btw. Not all of us are violent or believe in using such means.

I don't know what the protesters who are being violent think they will accomplish by doing so. They are probably acting out of frustration and/or fear, but that doesn't mean it's right.

Not a great way to send a message to the new administration.

Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 22-01-2017

its always the same thing with 'the left', they approve of democracy as long as its the democracy that suits them....

but also,
don't you think the "right" get frustrated and fearful" when people from the 'left' get elected also????

anyway,
the fact is, Trump is your President, the country needs to get behind him and show support and respect for "the president" if not the person.

and why are they complaining that Hillary "won the popular vote",
so what, you guys know its about two things, Popular and College votes, if you don't like that system change it, and more often than not
he who wins the college vote becomes President.

its simple really,
the guy has four years to prove himself as a capable leader, if he doesn't, vote him out in four years, if he does do right by the US as he wants to,
re-elect him so he can continue his work.

Nah, that's not how this works. The "right" doesn't get to protest Obama's election and re-election (Footnote 1) and completely degrade the position of "President" for his entire term with blatant disrespect (Footnote 2), and then turn around and start talking about how the Country needs to unite behind a President they now like. Don't get me wrong; I haven't been out protesting either Presidential election, but, the "right" made this bed of disrespect and disdain for the office and can now lie in it.

Additionally; isn't generalizing fun?

Personally I think the whole American election thing is turning into a bad TV reality show. America is far too obsessed with television, social media, media presenters and so-called political experts. The media circus are completely out of touch with what's going on in the real world. They should report the news instead of trying to create it.

you hit one of my nerves there
with every sentence
the media wants to either create the news or predict the news
rather than reporting the news
all 3 of the major news networks are ridiculous in their coverage
pains me to say I have turned to BBC, CCTV or RT for any international news
the change is quite refreshing

Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 22-01-2017

well done LMD...
none of that stuff was reported outside the US either here or on the BBC (which I used to watch until a year or so ago)
