i didnt realise until a couple of months ago that i had 27 of Rod Stewart's 31 studio albums so last week i figured i might as well order the remaining four albums to complete the collection,

they arrived in the mail today.

Busy listening to Jethro Tull's latest effort - The Zealot Gene. Very good work Mr Anderson!! You still have what it takes. Pleasantly surprised by this collection. Money well spent. Next up - Simon Phillips - Protocol V.

And the Simon Phillips CD is awesome. How the hell does he do it? For me, the world's best drummer for sure - or at least the best one I have ever heard. Man's a bloody genius behind a drumkit.

i havent seen much of SP's work but the couple of clips i have seen are excellent, his timing is so precise.

JT, a surprisingly good album for sure, still on the 'to purchase list'.

thanks, nice...
track has an almost jazz groove happening, couldnt help thinking of George Benson at times.
4 minute mark, drum solo part, that showed his talent.

all i have found is that the photo was taken in 1960 by Russian Photographer Nikolai Matorin.

if you can find out anything else about it i would be interested in knowing too.

RE: What Did You Buy? - Ruby - 02-08-2022

Here you go ...

It's titled Rythme de Travail, i.e. Pace of Work -1960

"This woman is a warp creel operator. The creel takes hundreds of small spools of yarn and winds them onto one large spool, in preparation for weaving. This will create the warp, which are the longitudinal yarns which are then woven against the left to right yarn called the weft.

There are hundreds of spools (actually called bobbins) on the creel, and many will run out of yarn as the large weaving warp is created. When one runs out or a yarn breaks the operator must hand tie the new one. Here she has retied a bobbin and is making sure it is not tangled with the other yarns."
