Politics - Music Head - 14-12-2016 Oceansoul Wrote:President-elect Trump has chosen Exxon Chief Executive, Rex Tillerson, for US Secretary of State.Tillerson with close ties to Russia/Putin Perry saying he wanted to abolish the Energy dept Scott Pruitt at EPA, a climate change denier Jeff Sessions at the Justice dept who made a supposed racist comment 30 years ago James "Mad Dog" Mattis at Defense dept (soon changed to the Offense dept) Betsy Devos at Education, strong supporter of charter schools Tom Price at HHS, very vocal opponent of the ACA (Obama Care) John Kelly at DHS, anti-immigration Ben Carson at HUD, saying at one time he wasn't qualified Andrew Puzder at Labor dept, fast food executive and anti-union Elaine Chao at Transportation, former Bush appointee and wife of Senator McConnell Steven Mnuchin at Treasury, Goldman Sachs executive confirmation hearings should be a blast not to mention the next 4 years Politics - Oceansoul - 15-12-2016 Music Head Wrote:Tillerson with close ties to Russia/PutinOh yeah, I think the next four years will be something else alright. Also, apparently Tillerson is pro-TPP hahaha. Politics - Music Head - 15-12-2016 Oceansoul Wrote:Also, apparently Tillerson is pro-TPP hahaha.that may have been so, as the head of ExonMobil not so in his new position TPP is dead Politics - Lovely Linda - 19-12-2016 What a election! I have never seen such cry babies in all my life. I have to say the repubs have never acted as bad as the lefties as far as I can recall. Wasn't it Hillary who condemned Trump for maybe not accepting the results. Guess it was only if she won. Makes me sick to my stomach. And, Obama is acting like a ASS. Most work he has done. Trying to clear his record. He can't stand the thought that Hillary lost because of his lack of concern for the USA. John M. needs to take his old ass home and retire and so the rest of the Dem want to bes. Tomorrow should be interesting. Politics - Lovely Linda - 19-12-2016 Btw, Hillary lost on her own. The working class booted her off the stage. Politics - Oceansoul - 19-12-2016 I have heard quite a few Republicans whining for the last eight years about Obama. I guess people have forgotten about the Birther movement already and let's not forget about the Tea Party protestors a few years ago. I remember seeing protestors with signs comparing Obama to Hitler and accusing him of being a socialist among other things. Both sides have people who think the world is ending when the other side wins. The Republicans now have the control of the Presidency, the House and the Senate so they have the power. I do not like the Republican establishment leadership nor Trump, but I accept the elections outcome. Politics - Lovely Linda - 19-12-2016 I don't recall anyone having to go through therapy because Obama won. I don't like Obama but I did not waste tears over him. He hung himself. No, never has there been such outrage over a Pres. elect. Even the repubs (some) are against Trump. What is wrong with America first. Jobs and a wall sounds good to me. Politics - Oceansoul - 19-12-2016 Lovely Linda Wrote:I don't recall anyone having to go through therapy because Obama won.Yeah there are people who are deeply scared right now. Some people are concerned about their civil rights being taken away from them. Jobs are indeed important right now. I know people who are looking for jobs and not succeeding. I see places struggling financially like where I live and I'm trying to do my part. I try to support programs that teach job skills and encourage businesses to move here. Thankfully, the economy is steadily growing, even though there is more that needs to be done. Also college debt is hurting a lot people coming out of school and trying to get into the workforce. There are indeed Republicans who dislike him and see him as unfit to lead the country. I think there are some electoral college Electors who have said they will go faithless tomorrow when the electoral college casts their votes, some of them are Republicans who are considering voting for someone like John Kasich or Mitt Romney instead of Trump. Politics - Lovely Linda - 19-12-2016 Good for you! We need more doing their part! I would never vote for Mitt Romney. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 19-12-2016 come on people, we've had a year of Trump and Clinton in the news, lets put it to bed..... |
