Mark Oliver Everett, aka âEâ of the Eels was born on this day in 1963. Heâs a multi-instrumentalist and the lead singer of Eels as well as having done some solo work. Probably not a good idea to listen to too much if youâre depressed! I like to listen occasionally because there can be something quite compelling about some of the music, and it's well executed, IMHO.

Pat Travers was born in Toronto, Canada on this day in 1954. Rock guitarist, keyboardist and singer (and Black Belt in Karate). Heâs released 30+ albums, 21 singles, a couple of live albums and a good few compilations. One of those well-known and loved musicians who did best in the 70âs/80âs and who never really regained the same level of commercial success afterwards.
Coincidentally, a friend pointed me in the direction of his version of Bob Marleyâs âMisty Morningâ yesterday, so thatâs what Iâm choosing today; itâs from his Black Pearl album â¦
