RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 18-12-2025

our weak-as-piss pro Palestinian/anti-Israeli Labor (socialist) Prime Minister is finally cracking down on hate speech and and radical Muslim Clerics following the Bondi Beach massacre earlier this week.
if i was cynical i would guess he is trying to score political points with the general public now his popularity is on the slide in the polls.
too late Mr Albanese you horse has bolted and the stable gates are wide open...
Hate preachers to be targeted in new antisemitism laws after Bondi attack

RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 23-12-2025

just thought i would share this:

Lynne and myself were at the local dog park this morning and another family came by with their dog,

it happens that they are out here on holiday from SA visiting their daughter and grandkids for christmas
we struck up a conversation and as it happens they come from Natal Provence
the older gentleman was telling me about water being carted in on trucks and that basic services are non existent there.
he was also telling me about how they all carry sidearms to protect themselves from the black population.
also saying a friend of his who was a police officer was assassinated a couple of months ago after he gave evidence at an inquiry into systemic police corruption in the area.
and oh my God, the political corruption where opponents of the current Govt disappear or are killed in broad daylight.

in the end he said he encouraged both daughters to leave the country for their safety and future prosperity, one came to Australia, the other to the UK.
as it turns out, the daughter here wants the parents to move here but they refuse to leave their homeland...

^We couldn’t all just uproot and move somewhere else – even if we wanted to – and I don’t think the majority do, nor do they have options. I have a British passport but no thanks – I really would not migrate to that island. My daughter who lives on Gozo was here earlier this year – you might think that Malta is an ideal place to live, but no – they too have their own set of problems (domestic violence, incidentally, is rife) – it’s also pricey as hell along with no wildlife and a decimated environment - something she misses very much about not being here. It is safe crime wise (excluding domestic violence), I will say, which is probably largely due to being a small island with nowhere to run! And even so, she loved being back in Cape Town for a bit although her life is there now – her partner, work etc., so a return is not practical. And yes, KZN, where that man lives has major problems – the province is governed by corrupt idiots, as are others, but that situation doesn’t apply to the entire country. And not everyone in KZN carries a sidearm - total exaggeration. If anything, it's a small minority and would largely depend on where they were located. A friend of mine was just there for a conference, in fact - without incident, or fear of one and I know people who live there - very well, as it happens. My parents were based there in their later years.

I don’t have my head in the sand – we are not living in Utopia - far from it, we have problems for sure, but where doesn't? I think one needs to be discerning when it comes to sweeping generalisations and as someone once said, “the grass is not always greener on the other side, it’s greener where you water it.”

The LAST place I would go is the UK. It is a nanny state and is in serious trouble but people cannot see the shit coming down the road. People are far too petty about the smallest things. They are going to have a serious problem unless they stop the illegal migrants. Ireland is headed the same way so staying here once I retire is not an option. They are pouring into the country through Northern Ireland. I was in SA recently after my Mom became ill - she has since recovered but is frail. There was nothing better than taking a walk on the beach at Blouberg in the mornings and evenings. Makes you realise what you've missed. LOTS of corruption in Malta. Was there a few years ago. I was picked up at the airport by a Tanzanian guy when I went to SA and the return journey to the airport was with a Ghanian. They both said the same thing to me in the car - the local black population do not want to change. I found that quite strange. Did not expect it. They also both spoke of things being much harder in their own countries of birth and that the local black population in SA do not realise how easy they have it compared to their own countries. Speaks volumes! My mother's gardener is from Zimbabwe. A very well educated guy. I spoke to him a couple of times while I was there. He has some horror stories to tell of life under Mugabe. Patagonia is starting to look like a good option...

i still have most of my family in the UK and i would not go back for a holiday even if they paid for it.
its heartbreaking seeing it on videos/documentaries how run down and dangerous it has become.
sadly.
Australia is on the same path, letting ISIS brides back in, undocumented immigrants etc
the recent terror attack on Bondi Beach has shown us that we have now entered the 'real world' and are not isolated anymore.
plus having a Govt that is almost a mirror image of Starmer's Labour Govt in the UK
another 20 years and we will be there

This woman just sickens me - https://uk.yahoo.com/news/bonnie-blue-insults-indonesia-dragging-055621994.html

The last line of the article says it all;

After returning to Britain about two weeks ago, Blue downplayed the seriousness of the case. “I’m rich and have good lawyers,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “Did you really think I’d face jail time?”

^^
and that is one of the things wrong with the world today.
YES, she is disgusting.

RE: I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-01-2026

a new search for the aircraft has just resumed in the southern Indian Ocean, leaving Perth/Fremantle WA on December 30th 2025.

for those who have forgotten MH-370 was on a flight from Malaysia to Beijing in May of 2014
less than an hour into the flight the plane abruptly changed course and turned its transponder off.
it did however get 'pinged' from its secondary transponder via radar heading into towards the Indian Ocean shortly after.
AI/Computer technology has since plotted possible flight paths and the discovery of wing-flaps on Reunion Island have also been plotted by AI using available currents in the Indian Ocean from when it washed ashore backwards to the day the plane disappeared thus giving possible crash areas.

The fire in the bar/club in the Swiss Alps is a tragedy indeed, but what I simply cannot understand is why there are groups of people filming this on their phones instead of getting the hell out of there. The building they are in is burning down and they decide the best thing to do is to stand there and film it!
