If Trump actually wants to help the struggling middle class and produce and bring jobs back, then I will support those efforts as those are concerns of mine as well.

Republicans will probably wind up with majority control of all three branches of government if they add more conservative judges to the Supreme Court. Well I just hope the Republicans brought back in will not hurt workers like me. I don't have healthcare and I don't expect that to change at this rate. Sigh, whatever they are in control now.

^^
you're killing me with this doom and gloom attitude
this country is strong enough to survive anything any one person can do
I've made it clear I have nothing good to say about the man
he is a con man, a clown, a reality show all by himself
I did not like Obama either
I came around once I saw he could govern
he now has my respect
we'll see what happens
don't despair
the pendulum always swings
you'll get your chance for liberal views again in 4 years
assuming you don't put up Hillary again

I'm not trying to be all doom and gloom. I may not be feeling as optimistic as some other people are though.

Yeah, I have been hoping for a new, fresh progression of Democratic ideals to come in the vein of President Roosevelt. Hillary was chosen by the Democrats due to how moderate she is so she could reach more Americans, not just certain fringe Dems and the other options didn't work out. She failed to inspire Americans, including Dems. I have felt frustrations with my party for a while now as well.

I pay out of pocket when I go to a doctor and if I get sick, I have to hope I can afford it since I don't have healthcare. So yeah, this concerns me and I'm not the only person who struggles to afford healthcare in my family nor among my friends either. My state didn't accept all of the ACA so I can't get it.

I don't like the guy neither mate for the same reasons you state...
but as a successful businessman he has the numbers on the scoreboard, regardless of his probably near illegal tactics...

Obama was a very good International President, few leaders have bad words about him and he did try to change things
and for that alone you cant knock the guy...I'd like to see Michelle run for Public Office.

Hillary's time has come and gone IMO, she's finished, I'll be surprised if shes still in politics in four years time...

back to Trump, he'll either be up there on the list of best President's ever or mocked for eternity as the biggest joke in US
political history, time will tell.

a comedian on TV here last night said "we've had The Apprentice, now its time for the sequel series...The Apprentice President" (I thought that was funny)

Politics - Oceansoul - 11-11-2016

Yeah, time will tell what will happen after Trump is sworn in as President. I would be surprised if Hillary attempted politics again, she cried on Election night and just got through a heated election. Michelle Obama is probably tired of politics for right now, but I would be glad if she decides to come back to it if or when she is ready. I see potential with Elizabeth Warren in the future.

President Obama has had a conflicting 8 years in office with trying to get us out of the recession. He has been strong as an international leader, he has helped bring some social changes like the same-sex marriage act, there has been some return of jobs, etc. He has had a hard time though and dealing with a do-nothing Congress at times to boot.

Politics - Oceansoul - 11-11-2016

If I were in Hillary's shoes right now, I would feel humiliated after not only having her life exposed to the country, but then losing to a freaking reality TV show host and businessman who pushed the Birther movement and who has insulted and mocked certain people in this country like women, our POW's, a disabled person, etc, and not to mention some of his rhetoric.

I would never come back to politics after a loss like this. Ouch.

I do realize that the reason Trump was voted for by quite a few Americans has to do with needing jobs and feeling ignored and not all of them did so for racist and sexist reasons. I know a police officer, a friend of my family as well, who voted for him for giving good cops acknowledgement and another family friend who voted for him for his no-nonsense attitude and he is an African American man.

Sorry, could not read all posts but did most. Uped my Op. because of infection.
Eyes are dialated so doing my best and here goes

I must say I am still in a state of shock. Thought for sure Hillary would take the election as did the polls but this has been a unusal election to say the least
But, thank the Lord she did not win. Believe it or not there is still hope for us but then again time will tell.
I am so very happy that Trump won!! The EC worked fine this time.
Happy that the election was over as soon as it was!!

Only problem I have are the protests now. The process has spoken. America elected Trump.
Now we need to work together and stop being poor losers.

Sorry, for right now can't see good enough. I'll get back with y'all later.
