It's not. At all. But I'm sure we will survive ... somehow!

Meanwhile, on another high note ...

Ruby Wrote:That’s it then. Looks as though South Africa has just been awarded junk status. http://www.timeslive.co.za/local/2017/04/03/Downgrade-to-junk-status-what-does-it-mean. No surprises there! Not after the recent unexpected (although not unprecedented) sacking of the quite competent and honourable state Finance Minister and his deputy, amongst others, only for them to be replaced by an inexperienced and unqualified poseur who is being assisted by the Pres’s obscenely rich and powerful string-pulling pals.

And in what at first appears to be unrelated other news, a few days ago, the Western Cape High Court decreed that it is now legal to both grow and use cannabis in your own home.

Hmmmm …. I smell a big fat rat (underlying the voluminous cloud of marijuana smoke)! Is this a strategic measure to calm everyone down? So we can all get happily and legally stoned while Nero is fiddling the books and Rome burns? Lends new meaning to the phrase ‘gone to pot’!

Very funny post Ruby. Just a pity that the circumstances are so bloody sad. What took hundreds of years to build the current bunch of clowns in SA have managed to destroy in just 20 years. They don't know how to build anything, create anything, sustain anything - only how to destroy it. Every single time. Won't be too long before there's famine in SA. There was a time when SA had the fastest growing economy in the world and now it's just Zimbabwe version 2.0.

Having said that, the ratings agency that made the call are guilty of costing Americans (and others) billions of dollars in bullshit ratings. Remember 2008? Sub-prime mortgages, derivatives and all the other concocted financial products that were totally worthless. And they are still doing it.............

"note for note" copying is inexcusable IMO...
