This is going to be a major achievement if they can pull it off.

^Wow. We are leaps on from Icarus (although sometimes I'm not too sure about that!) so maybe they'll succeed. Just when you thought there were no more frontiers. Also what people have thought since time immemorial, LOL, and look at us now, zipping all around the world digitally, seemingly by magic. Inconceivable a short while ago - expect for by Mr Bowie, of course, who knew what was on the way!  Big Grin

I have no idea what is going on out there in my immediate world today, and have no desire to either! Complete chaos, sun, wind, lunatic drivers and hordes of holiday makers.

The latest bit of nonsense dreamed up by the 'woke' academy. If you use a fullstop at the end of a sentence - you know, to denote the end of a sentence - it means you are being subliminally aggressive. What complete crap.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................!

Jesus wept - what is going on in kids' heads?

No news as such but if you have never tried it have a stab at making Japanese Zucchini with Tamarind sauce. One of the best meals I have had in ages.

^^
i had no idea what that was, i mean i obviously know what zucchini and Tamarind sauce is, but didnt know the recipe.

so i googled it and it appears we had something similar last night, also Japanese. (i'll have to check with Lynne what it is called)
mince meat (ground beef for our american friends)
shredded carrot
bok-choy
cucumber
pickled red onion
rice
tamarind sauce
sesame infused mayonaise

and to answer your suggestion, i will get what we need for that one when we next go to the supermarket.

Japanese Zucchini is normally made with Teriyaki sauce but I prefer Tamarind. Gives it a unique flavour. Must try your recipe - sounds delicious. Might tackle it this weekend.

so brown off the mince with teriyaki or tamarind sauce,
add the grated carrot and bok-choy (or similar asian veg) until warmed through
mix through the cooked rice (or rice noodle)
put in a bowl
garnish:
add the chopped/diced cucumber (we prefer the continental/lebanese ones)
and the pickled red onion (raw sliced red onion also works)
the sesame infused mayonaise can be made with mayo and (chilli sauce if you prefer)
add toasted sesame seeds and cracked peper to taste.

we like it as a quick, simple and relatively healthy meal on a hot summers night
