Horrible scenes in Sydney. Another nut-job with a knife - something that is becoming a daily occurence in cities all over, particularly London. Well done to the female off-duty cop who took him out. A courageous lady indeed. You did the right thing, regardless of the liberals who will complain about his human rights, mental health, bi-polar disorder and any other reason they can come up with to excuse the fact that he is simply a twisted nut-job. What about the rights of the victims? And for those who are constantly bleating about police being heavy-handed, when the shit hits the fan and you are the one facing one of these nut-jobs, the first thing you will be looking for is help. From who? The police of course.

You don't know how right you are MH! Someone is making an absolute fortune selling machetes in London. Society has gone to shit.

On a slightly different note - I hope you are keeping well and looking after yourself after your loss. Your sense of humour keeps this place alive.

those scenes from the Bondi Shopping Centre are/were horrific.

excellent response from our Police but no doubt the do-gooders will want her resignation for it!

^Terrible business. Enough to put you off shopping malls and other crowded placesĀ for life. There are far too many deranged individuals wandering around here - street people who are quite cuckoo and no social services worth mentioning. Very sorry for all those bereaved people.

Did anyone see the auroras over the past couple days? I didn't, but the light shows seemĀ to have been quite spectacular in many places, both north and south. Some amazing photos.

I see both France and the UK are trying to get mandatory conscription reinstated. Something must be looming on the horizon...
