NY's pretty barbed diatribe regarding Gulf War II.

He obviously loves The States & its' people, but has little time for the Dubya administration. It's hard to put the politics aside, but this is a good NY Guitar Rock album, and has much to commend it.

AllMusic 3+/5 stars.

One of my all time favorites

Second that, Roundabout is a great song. Seen Jon & Rick play it live last year!

The pure musicianship of that band is just amazing, it makes the blood pump through my veins.

Fourth album from the group. The follow up to what I think is their best album, Toys In The Attic. So, a hard act to follow. Comes out quite well though, better than I expected. Remains one of their best selling having gone quad-platinum. Three singles of which the highest charting was Last Child at #21. The album went to #3. Aerosmith hadn't made it across the pond yet. This was recorded during the height of those drug/alcohol infested years. Doesn't seem to have hurt their music any, Steven in his best screaming years. Speaking of Tyler, still impressed with his gig on AI. The only judge I care about listening to. Oh yeah, the album dummy! Other than that Rats thing a good album. Three love tracks with Nobodys Fault winning out, as it is the best Zeppelin impression ever, where's Jimmy?

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

Worst Track - Rats In The Cellar

Best Track - Nobody's Fault

Lord I must be dreamin'
What else could this be
Everybody's screamin'
Runnin' for the sea

Holy lands are SINKIN'
Birds take to the sky
The prophets all are stinkin' drunk
I know the reason why

Eyes are full of desire
Mind is so ill at ease
Everything is on fire
Shit piled up to the knees

Out of RHYME or reason
Everyone's to blame
Children of the season
Don't be lame

Sorry
You're so sorry
Don't be sorry

Man has known
And now he's blown it
Upside down
And hell's the only sound
We did an awful job
And now they say
It's Nobody's Fault

Old SAN ANDREAS
Seven years ago
Shove it up their richters
Red lines stop and go

Noblemen of courage
Listen with their ears
Spoke but how discouragin'
When no one really hears

One of these days you'll be sorry
Too many houses on the stilt
Three million years or just a story
Four on the floor up to the hilt

Out of RHYME or reason
Everyone's to blame
Children of the season
Don't be lame

Sorry
You're so sorry
Don't be sorry

Man has known
And now he's blown it
Upside down
And hell's the only sound
We did an awful job
And now we're just a little too late

Eyes are full of desire
Mind is so ill at ease
Everything is on fire
Shit piled up in debris

California showtime
Five o'clock's the news
Said everybody's concubine
Was GOIN' to take a snooze

Sorry
You're so sorry
Don't be sorry

Man has known
And now he's blown it
Upside down
And hell's the only sound
We did an awful job
And now we're just a little too late

Just discovered this band. Late-comers of the glam-metal/rock scene of the 80s who had several hits in the early 90s. After listening to a handful of songs from each of their albums it's taken me until their last album from 1995 'Waiting For The Punchline' to find songs I actually like!

Ironically, the album was somewhat un-representative of their sound (which is probably why I like it lol) as they desperately tried to fit in with the then-popular Grunge movement.

Above track 'Shadow Boxing' is an album track from the aforementioned record. I think it's actually brilliant and as I usually loathe the overproduced and cheesy style of 80s glam metal music I'm glad I 'endured' long enough to find at least one song I enjoyed!

Also, the below song showcases them fully embracing the grunge sound to great effect.

Fair enough Ed. Have you heard their earlier material (i.e. hits)? I personally don't like it but if you are into 80s glam rock/metal then it might be for you!
