i actually met an Indian fella last week, i tried to open up a conversation with him about cricket (the one sure way to engage and Indian or Pakistani is to open with a comment about cricket) and bugger me!, he must be the only Indian in a nation of 1.5 billion who dislikes cricket...

Sorry to be so scarce – things seem to speed up at this time of year – everything just gets crazy – even if you do your damndest not to buy into the whole silly season hype, it somehow happens. Something in the air!! The joys of living in a tourist mecca – a return to BC levels and then some. And we just had a big wildfire too – which is not over yet. After reading articles about various countries on the web I have come to the conclusion that society is fundamentally breaking down. The South American and African continents are in complete chaos, Europe is rapidly disintegrating especially in the east but overall as well, the UK is screwed and Ireland is rapidly following suit, the Middle East is teetering on the brink (yet again), the Chinese economy is in big trouble and the USA is in deep doo doo when you look at the political candidates on offer. 2024 is going to be an interesting year indeed. The Year of the Dragon no less. And there isn't a sensible leader in sight anywhere. All the so-called 'leaders' seem to be pandering to is wokeism, political correctness and popularity instead of tackling things head on. Members of government bodies worldwide all seem to have an opinion rather than a plan. And those ones that are easily offended when they are questioned about their motives are themselves the most offensive of the lot. Australia seems to be the one exception to all this carry on.
