Wild with Reese Witherspoon - really enjoyed this - my kind of movie. Also American Sniper, which I thought would be all flags and the usual hype, but I have to say it's one of those movies about American troops that stands up. Sure there is the Hollywood slant, but overall it's much better than I expected. I recommend both of these.

Looking forward to getting a copy of the movie about the first assault on the Eiger called North Face. I read the book The White Spider many moons ago and it was one of the most harrowing reads I have ever undertaken. Brilliantly written. I think I am a frustrated mountaineer. Spent a lot of my youth hiking around the mountains in and around Cape Town (large hills really). These days I don't even like climbing a ladder anymore. How the mighty have fallen........

I watched one last night called "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete" Jordin Sparks and Jennifer Hudson are in it. It was pretty good. It's about a drug-addicted prostitute that gets arrested leaving her kid to fend for himself in NY.
