Former boy band (B2K) lead vocalist Omari Ismael Grandberry out with his 3rd album and a new label after much success with the first 2. Not my thing with about as low a score as I can give, but he obviously has some fans. Single of I Get It In features Gucci Mane. Next single must be Speedin' as there is a video. I do like that little race car sound they put in there. Pretty cool! Others featured are Talent Couture, Jay Rock, Marques Houston and Tank. A big battle for the worst track but fortunately I was able to pick one, Last track is listed as a bonus track whatever that means. Some of these are rap flavored bu most lean more to r&b. Sure will be glad when tiggi gets those new genre's done. Enjoy if you can.

My album cover is different from this. Mine is a Dutch import with a slightly different track listing. Not sure where I picked it up. I've never been to Dutchland. With the inclusion of Leader Of The Pack (she met him at the candy store), who needs anything else. Primarily known for that classic, and justifiably so, they had many other hits. One of the many girl bands of the era, these drama queens of teenage love were one of the best. If this album would have been cut in half it would have been great. With me picking the half of course. Mostly duds on side 2, but side 1 is awesome.

Jonathan Johansson - Innan Vi Faller from En Hand i Himlen [Hybris, 2009]
Not pop as in popular per se, but pop in that the music is very catchy. It is full of hooks. Also, sung in Swedish so I doubt it can have that wide an audience.

I have one of the early pressings of this disc so there's no "Hips Don't Lie" anywhere to be found for me. Still, I remember this album getting lots of play from me when it was released and it still holds up as a solid listening experience as far as I'm concerned.

Tiggi's recommendation - so I listened
mile:I really hadn't even heard her sing before but she just sounds like a very good church choir soloist ( and a lot like my childhood neighbour Agnes who we used to hear singing hymns through the living room wall)
Slowing all the songs down and the randomness of the songs chosen didn't help.
Not a fan - though it did make me think of some funny Agnes related stories that my sister and I have just finished talking about - so some fun achieved but at a tangent.

Not nearly as bad as I expected. The youngest Jonas Brother attempts to go solo. He had pretty much taken the lead of that project, so branching off was no big surprise. Three of The Administration members are former Prince band members. Formation was just announced in October so they wasted no time gettin into the studio. Have already made appearances on most of the late night shows so the hype is out there. This kids got some talent. Some Stevie Wonder ripoffs on here. A good mixture of both rockers and ballads. It just barely made the passing grade for me.

The left side of that image is the album cover. The pic is of a re-release of her first 2 albums. Couldn't find a pic of just the one. The daughter of June Carter Cash and her first husband Carl Smith. Although her roots are country, her first few albums are far from it. Guesting on here are future husband Nick Lowe, Brinsley Schwartz and Graham Parker and the Rumour. That lineup would project a pop/rock album and about half of it is. The slower tunes win out for me. The album did not make the charts. Since there are no album clips available, I posted an interview from 1981 on Swedish tv.
