im a huge fan of Ms.Lee so its expected that i love both of these tracks...and i do!
single peaked at a lowly #38 in the UK....shame on you england,shame on you!

DEL SHANNON "hey little girl" B/W "you never talked about me" 1962
i was never a big fan of Del's, well, i liked his music but didnt go crazy over it on the whole...
"A" side was actually his biggest seller in the UK, despite "runaway" hitting #1 and this one making #2
over there...
i love "runaway", but only like this one...
"B" side, thats another story, i love that, its probably favourite of Del's...
interestingly enough, UK rocker Shakin' Stevens revived the "B" side on one of his albums in the 1980s,
i love his version of it also!

the Poole's fifth UK single but first to actually chart...
yes, "A" side is a cover(as were most of their UK singles)...sorry but i dont like it,
no-one and i mean no-one sings this like Lennon's version with Beatles, thats their song IMO, they own it!
"B" side, i dont like that neither...apart from "do you love me" i really cant think of anything else i like by then!
single peaked at #4 in the UK

my dad used to love these guys, he has a couple of their albums on vinyl...
i was never a big fan, i liked this single and loved "manic monday"(written by Prince)...
"A" side is pretty good and representative of the pop scene back then...
"B" side, like i said, im not a fan really, i dont like it...

i was never a big fan of these guys(well,guy and gal), im not sure why but i wasnt...
i love Annie's vocals,just not the songs all that much,except this one which i do love...
as for Dave Stewart, i alsways likened his style to that of Jeff Lynne...good writer,producer...
i loved Stewarts solo album from a couple of years ago also("the blackbird diaries")

youre rarely going to find me not like or love a song by these guys, theyre one of my favourites from that period of music...
i prefer Paul Jones over Mike D'Abo as a vocalist and thought these guys did their best work during the Jones years...
"A" side is my favourite track by these guys...
"B" side, another great track by these guys, has a bit of a jazzy feel going on, ive got a feeling Jazzbo will like this one

RUSS CONWAY "the russ conway-ep!"
i cannot find info on the release date of this one but the vinyl is certainly a 1960s label...
Russ was a pianist who recorded instrumental music in the late 50s and early 60s...
he had some 20 charting hits in the UK during that period including two #1 hits that he wrote...
theres seven tracks on this 'ep', i dont like any of them...
being as i cannot find the release date of this, i also cannot find any chart info on this disc neither
but with his popularity its a sure bet that it did chart at some point
