What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 23-11-2016

Rosetta was interesting in places even for me.

The Ship was a pretty good album IMO, its on my "to purchase" list, but I have nothing to compare it too, its the only album of his
I have heard, so I have no idea whether it is a good album by whatever standard he has with music.

Altamira, ive only heard a couple of tracks, its Knopfler....enough said IMO!

JMJ, Oldfield, I can give them a miss as youd probably expect Jerome,

Santaolalla, never heard of him (is it a him???)

Extended the Spotify subscription to a family premium, no more youngster back home messing with my playlist, five separate Spotify accounts included...
Can't remember when I last bought myself a CD... and vinyl, hmm ages ago. Sold all my vinyls when relocating some 15 years ago... But the oldest son recently bought himself a vinyl-to-USB player... and two Avicii records as well...

a question for you
can you not listen to Spotify without a subscription?
I have stopped buying also

What Did You Buy? - MFS - 02-12-2016

Yes, you can... but there are limitations and I can't remember them all but some of them being related to number of offline lists and such...
It's probably the most used app/tech invention used in our home... and with a big family the new subscription is worth every extra dime...
Note: I don't believe you can listen to Spt offline using the free version, it's great to have when your out of Mobile data traffic or strolling along in disconnected areas...

What Did You Buy? - GustavoWoltmann - 07-12-2016

I bought 24k Magic album of Bruno Mars. But i'm waiting for Deep Purple - New Album coming 2017. I can't wait for it. Hope the publishers will release it early this coming year and will be available here in Panama or else I'm gonna ship it. I'm gonna buy it. - Gustavo Woltmann

“—Amy said that would be an imprudent expense; but as soon as he had got a good price for a book. Will not the publishers be kind? If they knew what happiness lurked in embryo within their foolish cheque-books!”

What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 27-12-2016

some Xmas giftcard purchases today....

NATHANIEL RATELLIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS "a little something more from...."
continuing on from the last self titled album rooted deep in '60s R+B

CHEAP TRICK "bang, zoom, crazy, hello"
their latest effort earlier this year,
superb band, wasn't too keen when I heard it on Spotify, but their music always grows on me

BRUNO MARS "24K magic"
probably the best 'funk guy' going around at the moment..
his ballads have a Michael Jackson quality to them and his more
uptempo funk sounds have a James Brown quality without sounding contrived or forced,
superb singer, writer and dancer IMO

LADY GAGA "joanne"
her latest from this year also,
lots of piano based ballads on here, probably her best album after the
duets one she did with Mr Tony Bennett
