not where i am (Thank God!) but Death Valley just reached 54.4C/130F which when verified will be the highest officially certified temperature ever recorded.
other temps have been higher, however the rules for where a thermometer can be placed, so those temps arent official:

From memory the highest and lowest temperatures ever recorded are 59 deg C and -89 deg C.

that 59C has now been wiped from official records mate due to inaccuracies in recording and location/position of the thermometer.
it doesnt mean it never reached that temp, just that it cant be accepted officially.
anyway,
14C/57F today with some early morning rain, er drizzle.
cloudy after that, predicting sun over the next few days though...

We have had a great summer ! A bit of rain but mostly hot balmy days at 25 C. That is hot for this part of the world !
