What Are You Listening To? - Tiggi - 09-01-2011 ^ I've been a bit dismissive of AMLOR, and TDB, but they are actually both good records. It's just that the lyrics are so poor, when you've been used to RW's input. What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 10-01-2011 ![]() THE BEATLES "help"1965. its a Beatles album, therefore it is full of classic songs....sorry,but thats the facts and it contains the most recorded song in history, 'yesterday', and what i consider to be Paul's best Beatles song 'ive just seen a face'. its a classic album with fourteen classic tracks. enough said! I LOVE THIS ALBUM worst track: Help! best track: you've got to hide your love away tracks: 1. help** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU7JjJJZi1Q live 2. the night before*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s-l632F-tE video 3. you've got to hide your love away*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke93PUTl3vc&feature=fvst video 4. i need you*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRuxH81akTo&feature=fvst video 5. another girl*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIPcv6SxffA video 6. you're going to lose that girl*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7ABWbnuQhk video 7. ticket to ride** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33c95lj4g1k&feature=fvst live 8. act naturally*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtkQAuKPc3w live 9. it's only love*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIVx2dbWzvY audio 10.you like me too much*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paZilSbbFJc&playnext=1&list=PL1671F33CFEB618DF&index=27 audio 11.tell me what you see*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FUuRR7X58o audio 12.i've just seen a face*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0rRK1GIF-w live, PM solo 13.yesterday*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjpzTys0s9g live, PM solo 14.dizzy miss lizzy*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Smx3DXUIR-c live 3s=12 2s=2 1s=0 rating 2.85 What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 12-01-2011 NO COVER ART AVAILABLE NEIL SEDAKA "greatest hits" 1977.#143US #61AUST: vinyl borrowed from my parents collection. Neil is one of those artists who didnt recieve the chart success he deserved of a man of his talent, yet, everybody seems to know his songs and can sing along to the majority of them. and many people dont realise the hits he wrote for other people, similar to Willie Nelson in that respect. a writer of beauty, happiness and positive outlook, is what Neil is. this is a 1970s best of set and it does include two US #1 hits, strangely enough,Sedaka never scored a #1 hit in the UK or AUST either on the singles or album charts, yet performs sellout shows in both those countries??? he is a master of writing three minute pop songs and few are in his league as a writer. I LIKE NEIL SEDAKA, AND THIS ALBUM worst track:breaking up is hard to do....i prefer the original 1962 version best track:love will keep us together tracks: 1. laughter in the rain*** #1US #15UK #17AUST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uec35ppYLIc live 2. standing on the inside** #26UK #21AUST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc7Qt7Ld59w live 3. the immigrant** #22US http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-NgkBYpN2A audio 4. love will keep us together*** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzmu6TL6KVM live 5. the hungry years** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avTD_-wK0jw live 6. bad blood*** #1US #11AUST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9zMo-BPADU video 7. lonely night(angel face)** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9-ZFNNqv2A live 8. love in the shadows** #16US #51AUST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMUBGGiFjrg audio 9. solitaire** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L63W_4fbJZ0 live 10.stepping out*** #36US http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmxQ__YCXxM audio 11.breaking up is hard to do(slow version)** #8US #7UK #19AUST http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Hh--22Eu_M audio 3s=4 2s=7 1s=0 rating: 2.3 What Are You Listening To? - Tiggi - 16-01-2011 ![]() One of The Stones' lesser albums IMV. Not their most impressive effort, and relatively hit-free, but still some very good songs. It sounds like they were kicking back and enjoying themselves a bit. Allmusic 5/5 stars. What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 16-01-2011 you've surprised me Tiggi???? a 'lesser' album? how is it possible to have less than what they normally release? What Are You Listening To? - Tiggi - 16-01-2011 Subjective judgements and all that. If your starting point is that their best is crap, then I can understand your point. That starting point would be ill-informed, however, and my assessment is, of course, correct . What Are You Listening To? - Music Head - 16-01-2011 Still the prime Stones years for me. Different track listing on U.S. version though, including Ruby Tuesday, one of my all time favorites. What Are You Listening To? - Jerome - 16-01-2011 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:you've surprised me Tiggi???? Ouch!!!........... What Are You Listening To? - CRAZY-HORSE - 16-01-2011 Tiggi Wrote:Subjective judgements and all that. im only joking, i have numerous Stones singles...mainly from the 1960s and three of their albums and a best of set. they're just easy targets to have a go at What Are You Listening To? - Tiggi - 16-01-2011 I realise that Lloyd, and am just responding in kind . |
