Paolo Nutini was born on this day in 1987, in Paisley, Scotland. He's been in a musical hiatus since 2014 but there are rumours of a new album in 2022. Blue eyed soul, R&B, pop - he is much beloved by his fellow Scots, especially, and has endeared himself to many others along the way. He's a little unusual in his thinking about fame, which he didn't take to like a duck to water, and is a bit of an enigma, generally - quite awkward - terrible at making eye contact in interviews and also suffers from stage fright, all while feeling the weight of the responsibility of giving a paying audience their money's worth. Will be interesting to observe a comeback if there IS one. Loads of potential - hoping he's stuck to his muse and found some direction.
