Politics - Lovely Linda - 20-10-2016 I could have done a better job than he. Debates make him look dumb. Wrong, wrong, wrong, Man  Politics - Oceansoul - 20-10-2016 Lovely Linda Wrote:Trump just does not know how to debate and it shows in his apperance , the way he stands, and the way he responds. I don't think he is good at debating either, he makes his own downfall too often or takes Hillary's baiting. Some of those can be pretty cringeworthy. His body language isn't sending optimistic nor positive messages to the audience, IMO. She left him stunned at times in this debate and he had no response to those. She also has more experience in debates and knows how to look more professional which is important in these debates. I don't get some things he said in the debate tbh. Politics - Oceansoul - 20-10-2016 Also, did anyone else watch the live feed comments on Facebook tonight during the debate? I did and the feed was shut down when it got a little out of control, I guess. Some of those comments were amusing, some were disturbing, read a few conspiracy theories in them, hahaha. I thought about commenting, but I didn't. Politics - Jerome - 20-10-2016 I don't think opinion polls or debates are going to make any difference to the outcome of this election. At the end of the day people are going to vote for the one they believe in. Although my head says that DT has cooked his goose you just never know what's going to happen on the day. Look at what happened to the UK with the Brexit campaign. Everyone assumed the people would vote to stay in the EU - surprise, surprise!! Now they are well and truly screwed. Debates are pretty important since that gives the candidates the ability to discuss their plans and contrast/compare with each other. These debates matter when it comes down to wanting to know where they stand on issues, where you do, where they will lead the country, and whether they can reach enough of the American public to vote them in. So, I wouldn't call this unimportant. Also not every voter is a decided one, there are swing voters and Undecided voters along with third party voters who are uncertain. Some supporters could change their mind as well. Humans are pretty sensitive to physical cues as well as body language and can pick up on things about someone based on how they express themselves and will react to them. If someone has a smug facial expression, it makes them look arrogant and people will notice it. Professionalism is very important in a President and dealing with pressure in a good way is important. Opinion polls can indeed fluctuate, though they still give an idea of where a large number of voters stand on the candidates. For instance, Trump's poor performance and some of his statements regarding the credibility of the election could cost him a few numbers on the next polls that are done. They just give you a general idea of where the public is going, but yes, surprises can happen. That's why Trump needs to refrain from declaring he'll lose the election before all the votes are cast. Politics - Music Head - 20-10-2016 the man just comes across as too damn mean at least Hillary smiles while she is verbally assaulting you Politics - Lovely Linda - 20-10-2016 Oceansoul Wrote:I don't think he is good at debating either, he makes his own downfall too often or takes Hillary's baiting. That is why he is already talking about protesting the votes which will be something Americans do not need. We have been through enough. Just let us die in peace.
