I watched Dark Skies starring Keri Russel tonight. My sister told me about the movie. She liked it but I would consider it a B rated movie. If you are into Aliens it might be interesting but even though I am it did not interest me that much. Not a very well made movie and the actors sucked :redface:

You should watch Little Shop of Horrors, but with the director's cut. It is more true to it's original musical off-broadway form and has a much more meaningful ending.

I think I saw Little Shop Of Horrors at least in part a while back but I don't remember much about the film except I think Susan Sarandon was in the movie.
I just love Susan!!

I don't think she was in that. At least not as a lead. Maybe a cameo. I am talking about the musical, too. However, you haven't seen the musical how it should be till you've seen teh director's cut

Bringing this Forum back to music in the movies: Freshly out on DVD and Blu-Ray are 2 movies (I refuse to call movies "films", as pretentious as I otherwise am) that spotlight jazz and jazz musicians: Syncopation and The Connection. The first is a history of all the musical and some of the socio-political elements of what makes jazz--relax; it's a drama, not some tedious documentary, the second has jazz players and others waiting for The Man (also includes an interview with an excellent, underrated piano player, Freddie Redd, who composed the music). Life Is Beautiful was very good! It's an Academy Award winner for best foreign film in 1997! Italian with English subtitles!

I got tired of watching the same movies all the time so I shopped around and thought now this might be interesting and it was. A different type of movie. One we need to watch quietly and better alone to get into the movie. Fault In The Stars, glad I saw the film!!

Just watched some movie about Jack Kerouac - did not understand a single minute of it. A most bizarre film.
And congratulations to Julianne Moore - that one's been a long time coming. 100% deserved.
