I read the news today, oh boy! - Oceansoul - 13-01-2017 Music Head Wrote:and so it beginsThat is concerning. I've heard Poland has problems with Russia. I read the news today, oh boy! - Oceansoul - 18-01-2017 Former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara Bush have both been hospitalized. http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/18/politics/george-h-w-bush-hospitalized/ I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-01-2017 seems like the humble Appendix does have a use in the human body afterall: http://www.msn.com/en-au/health/medical/turns-out-the-humble-appendix-actually-does-something/ar-AAm2FpH?li=AAgfDNO I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 24-01-2017 so Ralph Lauren is copping criticism for 'dressing' The First Lady for the inauguration earlier this week?...WTF people get over it, whats she supposed to wear...nothing?, oh yeh, I guess she could, and she has, many times! anyway, heres the article: http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/world/could-ralph-lauren-be-facing-a-boycott-after-dressing-melania-trump/ar-AAmaJFO?li=AAgfYrC I read the news today, oh boy! - Soniajain - 27-01-2017 Thank you for sharing these nice information. I read the news today, oh boy! - CRAZY-HORSE - 31-01-2017 i always heard that if a ship/boat sinks that they never build another one and rename it the same as the ill-fated one because that brings bad luck to the current one... well, it appears someone doesn't believe in that or they are simply defying the unwritten code of the nautical world because a ship is currently on the drawing boards that is not only a replica of the Titanic but it will also bear her name, heres the link to the article: http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/world/the-unbelievable-race-to-build-more-than-one-titanic-2/ss-AAmqBh3?li=AAgfYrC#image=5 I read the news today, oh boy! - h1307 - 11-02-2017 the english arny has just won the war
I read the news today, oh boy! - Music Head - 11-02-2017 ^^ that news is rather sad I read the news today, oh boy! - bob_32_116 - 11-02-2017 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:i always heard that if a ship/boat sinks that they never build another one and rename it the same as the ill-fated one because that brings bad luck to the current one...The "new Titanic" thing is pretty obviously a money-making stunt. No doubt the builders consider that the opportunity to charge people a fortune to sail on the Titanic outweighs any bad karma due to the name. I was just reading about the Mary Celeste... I doubt very much whether they'll build another one with that name. Sailors are apparently a superstitious lot - but I guess that's not surprising, as in the days before science based navigation and meteorology all they had to go on was legends and customs handed down. I believe there is, or was, also a firmly held belief that it was bad luck to set sail on a Friday. And then there is the taboo on killing an albatross - not sure about bringing bad luck for the ship's crew, but it would definitely be bad luck for the albatross. I read the news today, oh boy! - Oceansoul - 16-02-2017 Woolly mammoth on verge of resurrection, Scientists say. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2017/feb/16/woolly-mammoth-resurrection-scientists I think this is pretty cool. |
