Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-10-2016 Lovely Linda Wrote:Kind of look like them too. im not sure tribute bands need permission to do what they do, maybe they do but ive never heard of it??? and being called Australian Bee Gees Show doesn't misrepresent the Bee Gees in any way IMO, and apart from that, the Bee Gees are/were Australian so if any country has a right to have a tribute band surely it would be Australia?! but yes, as a tribute band they do look and sound like them. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-10-2016 ok.... watched the debate... for the most part Trump was actually quite composed by his standards but still interrupted more than a prospective leader should... yes, Hillary interrupted him on several occasions also but she retained her dignity throughout... best comment from the debate goes to Hillary Clinton IMO with "while you were hosting Celebrity Apprentice we were in the situation room taking down Bin Laden"...superb! Politics - Lovely Linda - 20-10-2016 CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:im not sure tribute bands need permission to do what they do, maybe they do but ive never heard of it???I did not mean that they needed permission to do what they do by any means. Of course they do not. All I was questioning was using the name Bee Gees. I did not know how that worked. Don't exactly know where you got the idea I was questioning them being a tribute band for the Bee Gees from Australia. As everyone knows I am a huge fan of the Bee Gees. Australia has a right to allow tribute bands for anyone. Just like other countries do. They could not have picked a better band to give tribute. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-10-2016 no, I didn't mean that, I was just saying I assume they can use the name to describe who their paying homage to... there was a tribute band years ago, not sure if they were Australian or English though, they were called Hee Bee Gee Bees, apparently all the three Gibb brothers did endorse them as being up to par, not sure what happened to them neither as ive not heard of them for decades now. Politics - Lovely Linda - 20-10-2016 Thank goodness the debate is over. It was so painful watching!! Same old thing as before. I think the second debate Trump won. The other two he lost big time. Trump again missed opportunities to attack but chose not to do so. For instance, what kind of toddler can pull a trigger on a gun. It is hard for me. I don't think I have heard of a toddler ever shooting anyone. Hillary at the start of this campaign talked about raising taxes on the middle class. Now she has changed her mind? With that said, again Hillary has won the election. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 20-10-2016 to add to that, with another band.... there was a band about to tour the US under the name Little River Band a year or so ago and they were due to appear on the Jimmy Fallon show... Glenn Shorrock (lead vocalist for LRB) called the Fallon people and said that no members of Little River Band or anyone vaguely associated with the group were in this band and he didn't want misrepresentation of his band...Fallon swiftly cancelled the appearance of them on his show... that said though, the original member of LRB who owned the rights to the band name sold it several years ago, thus the band had the right legally to use the name, still, when Fallon found out that ended their scheduled perofmance as I said. its strange how these things work isn't... likewise Peter Criss and Ace Frehley designed their own original KISS makeup, yet the KISS brand owns the rights to it and continue to use it much to the dismay o Criss and Frehley who tried all sorts of legal avenues to stop Gene and Paul being able to use their costumes/makeup without their consent(or monetary compensation because it was their personal design), Ace Frehley also designed the KISS logo, he receives nothing or them using it because it, once again, is owned by KISS as a legal entity. Politics - Oceansoul - 20-10-2016 Yeah, the debate was interesting. I think Hillary won this one, Trump did give a few shots that might've put her in the corner here and there, but outside of those moments, he didn't do very well, made mistakes, and stayed silent where it probably hurt him in this debate. His initial demeanor was odd and kind of restrained? Does anyone else think so? He got heated later. Some stuff was repeated that I've heard from both of them already. He put some nails in his own coffin. Anyway, the final debate is over. Thank goodness. Politics - LMD - 20-10-2016 Lovely Linda Wrote:For instance, what kind of toddler can pull a trigger on a gun. You would think someone like he in his position would be more comfortable. He keeps saying the same thing over and over and that hurts. |
