Politics - Oceansoul - 13-10-2016 I've been tired of this election since at least Summer started tbh. US Presidential elections now includes mudslinging, especially the current one and showing how the other person sucks instead of explaining why they are the better candidate. This country is pretty divided right now too. I am familiar with both of their positions on issues and where I stand on them as well anyway though I might still watch the debate next week. I'm a masochist like that. Politics - Lovely Linda - 13-10-2016 Oh, I had asked this question before. This is what I heard. If Hillary wins, Bill will be the first spouse. Don't know if that is accurate or not but that is what I heard on the news. Politics - Oceansoul - 13-10-2016 I thought he would be the First Man or something like that considering. I haven't heard that on the news, but the news ticked me off this morning and I stopped watching it so, yeah. Politics - oldies65 - 13-10-2016 What most folks don't understand is that most politicians are friends, it's about the power so they give the illusion of being for the people. Politics - CRAZY-HORSE - 13-10-2016 I agree with you Oldies Politics - Oceansoul - 13-10-2016 In which case that is kind of messed up, especially when you consider how divisive politics has gotten and the country is dealing with it's own dividedness as it is. :frown: Shouldn't politicians be communicating and trying to work together with citizens to make things better instead of playing enemy power games on tv? hrugs:
Politics - Lovely Linda - 14-10-2016 I know Dems and Repubs in Washington are friends. I've heard and saw evidence that they are friends. They work together. They basically have to be friends. Look at Trump. He gave money to Hillary. Now he is saying she should go to jail. Please! It's like we said. They will say anything to get what they want and their opponent knows this. They both promise the moon. Then when they get in there we get kicked where the sun don't shine. Both sides are corrupt. Politics - 1blankmind - 14-10-2016 Lovely Linda Wrote:I know Dems and Repubs in Washington are friends. I've heard and saw evidence that they are friends. In fairness, when Trump donated money to Hilary, he was claiming Democrat as his political party. Politics - Lovely Linda - 14-10-2016 He has basically been all 3. Even though he is on the Repub ticket, he is a radical. Even if he was Dem, if he is against her as he claims to be now he should have kept his money in his pocket. Let's not forget the news media also who are feeding into this frenzy. Oh for the days the media kept their opinion to themselves by just reporting the news. There is a popular conspiracy theory being passed around saying that Trump is only involved to get Hilary elected. |
