theres usually five or six half decent songs on a Ringo album with the rest filler, I guess for $3.33 I cant go wrong,
anyway....
I felt sorry for poor old Ringo being in a discount bin...
the funny thing is, I never see Thomas The Tank Engine dvds in discount bins...Hmmm, does that say something about his real talent?

ive bought some great albums out of discount bins over the years, but ive also bought some pieces of crap, exactly the same as full priced albums.
I don't expect much from artists ive never heard of from those discount bins so I can only be surprised when they turn out okay...same for you too I guess.

seeing as we have a "what are you reading" thread I can post books I purchase(as can anyone else)...
so, I went off Stephen King novels some twenty or so years ago but returned earlier this year with several of his more recent efforts...
"revival", "dr sleep", "mr.Mercedes" and "finders keepers", all were fine books but "revival" had a stupid ending IMO...
anyway,
a couple of days ago The Master of Horror released a book of short stories(20 stories in all),
so with his last few good efforts ive taken a chance and bought this new one today...

STEPHEN KING "bazaar of bad dreams"
its a gap filler for me until "end of watch" comes out next year, which is the final novel in the Bill Hodges' Trilogy, the other two are "mr Mercedes" and "finders keepers".

THE JAM "fire and skill:the jam live"
ok, I ordered it today...
a brand new release...
a six cd boxset containing six live shows one from each of their six years as recording artists,
so that's a show from each of the following years...77, 78, 79, 80, 81 and 82
I am expecting delivery next Tuesday.

heard it online yesterday, bought it today, listened in the car...
good album, not anywhere near as good as my two favourites from those guys in 'discovery' and 'time'
but a good solid album from someone I consider a perfectionist in the industry with whoever he works with!

still hasn't arrived yet, apparently, according to Adrian, all available stocks have been sold out
in the UK and Europe, I have to wait because Europe is where the market is for The Jam(and Weller in general),
and I can understand that totally.
