Glad you enjoyed the concert Crazy mate! I am absolutely convinced that there is nothing like the ultimate experience of the live concert...the only thing that would top it would be having the band in your house playing music!Confusedmile:

hi folks been gigging like crazy lately, saw 6 bands over 4 days last weekend at the Glasgow Jazz Festival and saw a new band from Glasgow called Psychic Soviets on Thursday who impressed me with their highly energetic performance!

Too many jazz bands to post (I'll post some later), for the time being wrap your ears around this!

RE: concerts thread. - CRAZY-HORSE - 29-06-2017

after 24yrs Paul McCartney is returning "down under" in December...
I secured mine and Dani's tickets earlier today...roll on December 2nd!

RE: concerts thread. - CRAZY-HORSE - 02-12-2017

just got home from the Paul McCartney gig....
three hours on stage....
played what hits he could in that time....
good to hear some tracks that he doesn't play that often like "letting go", "mull of kintyre", "juniors farm" and "ive just seen a face"....
"mull of kintyre" came completewith bagpipes courtes of the West Australian Pipe Band...
only three solo tracks, two from the last album "new", one from "kisses on the bottom" and "four five seconds" (that stupid thing he did with Kanye and Rihanna...
the rest Beatles and Wings...
good to hear/see "maybe im amazed"...
no "jet", "long and winding road", "penny lane", "magical mystery tour" but hey, he cant play everything or he'd be there all night...

was his first gig in five or six weeks so his vocal chords had time to settle down...
was on song for the whole show, never dropped a note or faultered at all...
showed why he is revered so much in the music world...
a class act...

a good way to end up my concert going days....

^^
so glad you had a good time mate
those days are long gone for me
but I remember them well

RE: concerts thread. - Ruby - 04-12-2017

^^Yes - I second that. Glad you got to see him especially since you're such a big fan. Had you ever seen him perform before CH?

Personally, I'm not crazy about huge crowds and crushes, but I've also missed one or two performances lately because they are prohibitively expensive. Cat Stevens, or Yusuf Cat Stevens as he appears to be known now was here just recently - tickets were twice the price of any other international act ... sold out in six hours! I think I'll just listen to my records, which probably sound better if the truth be told!

Saw Macca 8 years ago..I will never forget it ! Did he play the medley from Abbey Road ? My absolute favorite piece of music !
