JACKSON BROWNE "late for the sky"
I really don't own a lot of JB but I love his material,
this is his third album, it was originally released back in 1974

DAVID GRAY "the best of the early years"
I only own White Ladder, great little album so a compilation should suffice for now

NELLY FURTADO "whoa,nelly!"
her debut album, had this years ago but it has got misplaced
in the midsts of time...

ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN "songs to learn and sing"
a compilation covering their first five years(80-84)...
all I remember from these guys is 'the cutter' single so this will be interesting.

David Gilmour - Rattle That Lock - the super duper with-all-wings-and-propellers-included version. Busy listening to it as I type - so far so good. Comes complete with CD/DVD, a DG plectrum, an old French envelope & postcard??!!?? and a book by John Milton called 'Paradise Lost' book II. And as all things Floydian, Gilmourian & Waterserian it is well packaged - quality production as always.

Mike Oldfield -Best of - 1992-2003 - contains some tracks I don't have but I have heard most of the material on here before.

Ennio Morricone - Film Music By.... Some classic movie themes - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - The Mission - The Sicilian Clan etc. etc. It's going to be a busy afternoon.

Let us know what you think of the Gilmour...
I love the title track...
Have heard another one, I think the title is "5am", love the guitar work on it.

So, I love those two tracks, I think Division Bell is the best Floyd album

The question is....would I like it????

What Did You Buy? - CRAZY-HORSE - 22-09-2015

I also love that Good,Bad and Ugly theme...

What Did You Buy? - Jerome - 22-09-2015

I think you will enjoy the album CH - the production quality is excellent and the songs work well together - some fantastic harmonies and singing. Much, much better than The Endless River fiasco. He is embracing old age very well indeed.

Thanks Jerome,
I'll probably pick it up this week, I doubt I'll go for that deluxe version though.

What Did You Buy? - Jerome - 22-09-2015

The deluxe version is only for die-hard Floydians like me. The regular CD will suffice - after all it's about the music not the merch. Just listening to track 6 at the moment and uncle Dave has just elevated my speakers off the floor with a blistering solo - marvellous stuff! A good day!

What Did You Buy? - Jerome - 22-09-2015

Track 7 on the go at the moment and this album is just getting better and better - or maybe it's the Brunello kicking in............
