Their second self titled album. First was their debut. This is 20 years later, the 13th album, and the boys are showing their age. First album after being dropped by the majors. Not as bad as some of the recent ones. Maybe that drop gave them some incentive. Although I always liked the power pop, the lone standout here for me is the only down tempo track of Shelter, which pulls at my heart strings. Do hearts even have strings? Should have asked them to check mine when I had my surgery. The only decent audio clip I could find of that happens to be a stupid homemade video. If you listen, don't watch. This album went to a whopping #99 on the U.S. charts, with the single of Say Goodbye doing nothing.

The "Boss" with full "Bossness"...
Two discs of unreleased songs, recorded between Born to Run, & Darkness on The Edge of Town. Usually this sort of stuff is unreleased for a reason, but these are full-bore classic Brooce songs. The quality is very high.
Some of the songs have had a minor makeover, apparently, but most are untouched. To have this standard of material sitting in a vault somewhere for 30 years seems ridiculous to me. Much better than many of his recent releases IMHO.
Can you tell I quite like this ??? And I don't class myself as a huge Brooce fan...
